Just after some advice, as I'm having some problems with Wynne's AI in the Arch Demon fight. Everyone else is acting as I'd like, Leilana sits back and whales on him from miles away, my hero (rogue) is meleeing and Alistair is tanking, but if I stop controlling Wynne for a moment, she runs in and starts attacking the dragon in melee, and gets swiftly killed by aoe and or a kick. She's on double classed as Arcane warrior, wielding a sword, has a healing setup with her skills, she has ranged set as a behaviour, I've also tried cautious, with the same results.

If I use Hold position it seems most of the party stop attacking if anything interrupts or stuns them, and cease to use their combat tactics, so this is not an option either

Its bloody annoying, has anyone else had this problem?

I would venture a guess that the issue is that you equipped her with a sword. Maybe try equipping her with a staff or some other ranged weapon?

Yea, what ertrader said. Even if she is set for ranged if she has no ranged in hand her only option is to run up and thwack it with the sword cause tween spells she is going to attack.

Yeah, she needs a staff to auto-attack magic style. I had the same idea with Wynne, just wanted to toughen her up with the AW specialization and have her remain a spellcaster, but alas, she just has to start swinging Spellweaver around...

You could try the cautious setting instead of ranged, and see if that works with the sword. I'd still have her use a staff, though, for the extra damage.

Unless you want to actually use your Blink Tank AW, keep them with the staffs for the ranged damage and the spellpower boost. Swords just aren't worth it really.

Alright, thanks very much for the suggestions everyone, sounds like this might be my problem. I'll give it a go. :)
