Cant add to much on whats already been said. But I said it before and I will say it again that to me Mass Effect is femshep. AngryFrozenWater has a good poll which does show quite a popularity for Femshep. It made me sad/disappointed/angry/frustrated that femshep just seemed to be given the short straw for ME2. Its like Bioware decided Vandershep is the protagonist and ignored her! Sad really considering how amazing Jennifer Hale is!

Agreed. Her dancing is still bad in ME1, but better than in ME2. The more I think about it, the more I believe Miranda did put a control chip in her brain. Cannot walk correctly, cannot dance, comes on to Jacob every chance she gets, ignores Liara if LI, does not remember Cerberus was involved in the events on Akuze, etc, etc ...
I take her dancing in ME1 anytime... in ME2 it is just disgraceful

I am really glad they keep her out of the picture when it comes to PR
Her voiceactor is just plain boring.
They should focus more on maleShep and take FemShep out of ME3. It´s just waisted effort that could go into more important things like more guns. ^____^

female is weak gender male definetly should get more attention males are stronger and when you hit somebody in the face its like oh yeah that had to hurt and like you hit with female character it looks like slap which didnt hurt at all and male looks cooler too
Oh yeah sure...when you "males" are sick, you whine like little girls. When you "males" are aching from work or gym training, you whine like little girls. Also your immense strength isn't enough to make dinner or put the trashes in, you know, trash bin.
You were obviously trolling and so am I on this first part so
On a serious note, yeah it would be nice to have a more feminine FemShep in ME3. On my 2nd playthrough I've started noticing that some of the stuff FemShep does/says really just looks like a crossover from the default man Shep. And the run too, not a single woman I know runs like that. I don't think I "run like a girl" but I certainly don't run like that.

And that disproves...what?
She is still a soldier in a heavy uniform. And she only has half the musclepower of MaleShep.
I think BW got her movements right.

I'd be happy just to see her (and all the other females as well) get her own rigging and animations so that she is actually shaped and moves like a woman instead of a skinny man with boobs.
Right, some real FemShep animations would be good because sometimes her movements look kinda ... strange (especially in the Kasumi Mission..).

I don't think femShep needs sexing up (she's a soldier, after all), but she definitely needs animations that match her model instead of just slapping on maleShep's animations and hoping no one notices.
QFT. Completely agreed.
As for her not being in the marketing, I honestly don't mind it, since it gives you more leeway to create your own version, but it wouldn't have killed BioWare to at least mention that you can play as a female, if you don't like the male version.
They did put in some tender moments in ME2 (Thane's romance) but they were few and far between. My main beef was how Shepard, male of female didn't really seem to react to being dead for two years and having everyone discount everything (s)he did. It's basically reduced to an: "Oh".

It proves FemShep could as well look good.
Not that I´d care much though. Personally I´d prefer if you could just play as Asari, but since that won´t happen............

Either way, it looks like a bowel movement issue so perhaps we should either A.) Get Male/Female Shep some new sprinting animations for the 3rd game. B.) Make sure to get male/female Shep some better fiber intake in their diet. or C.) Both A and B. lol

The ~Kasumi - Stolen Memory~ DLC was particularly bad, with a high-class party in a fancy dress, and Femshep walking around like I don't know what. It's a mood-breaker.
I don't agree she should be weaker. She is boosted up, with cybernetics and I know not what, so why? And as to the "It is unrealistic that she is as strong as Maleshep" remarks......
But I would welcome ~more~ different dialogue options, yes.

I don't like the movement animations (walking or running) in general in ME2 anyway, but one can only hope.

are you saying I'm whining?? If you are, I'm not. So many people just don't realize that it offends female Marines they talk about them like they're not females. Female Marines talk about that kinda stuff all the time. Males are naturally stronger than females, eveyone knows that.......at least they should. You would be surprised how many beautiful sexy women people see all the time, and don't even know they're a Marine. Nothing says you can't be sexy and strong at the same time. Also, nothing says a female has to be strong as a male to kick some butt. Shep doesn't use fist anyway, Shep uses guns and biotic and tech powers. Physical strength has nothing to do with either of those
???
I never said you were whining.
Edit: Though yeah I may have been a little harsh. I really am getting sick of the F!Shep isn't feminine enough. She's a soldier. She shouldn't have to be feminine damnit.
But it's the lack of a middle ground in virtually every case that I've read on here that shares your viewpoint, that is truly perplexing.
Nobody is saying they expect FemShep to curtsy or run to Garrus to have her spiders killed. There is enough room in the game I believe between that and allowing for her to cross her legs while seated in a dress however. Wouldn't you say, or does her 50 pounds of casual clothing prevent her from pulling that off?
And yes, she actually should have to be feminine, if she's going to be an option in the game and there truly is meant to be more to a female lead character than the addition of boobs and a Pouch of Purportedly Everlasting Delights. Otherwise, what did you include a woman as an option for? Being a soldier wasn't justification enough to preclude Bioware from programming EDI to tell FemShep to get out of the men's bathroom though...
All of this attention to detail everywhere but the animation of the main character was too much
trouble?

I do agree though that she should have her own walking animations and some of her own dialogue options that shouldn't be available to maleshep. Just like how femshep has her own Renegade interrupt than that tells me that they are able to create cutscenes/dialogue purely for femshep so why not take it further and make playing as a femshep an entirely different experience than as playing as maleshep.

Even if she's a soldier, she's also a woman. Even a woman in a soldier uniform or futuristic armor don't loose their gender caracteristcs.
If you doubt this look the photos of female pilots in the air force or even soldiers serving the army, their hips don't change or loose form, for example
What we're asking is that in ME3 the base model for her be trully a female body, not maleShep tuned.
Play as femShep and use the Stimulator Conduits and you'll understand what we're talking about.
Also, the hips of both male/fem Shep are very badlly done, like they are twisted and turned.
Nobody here is asking to make a femShep that **** around in bikini or spandex, we already have Miranda for that
