I'm surprised. Usually by this point in polls there's a clear leader but if anything the numbers are evening out between a few of the choices. Put in Qunari and I wonder how much more split it'd be.



People really seem to have a very wide taste for what they want to play out in this game.

Playing a Malkavian in Bloodlines was great fun, especially if you already knew what the lines your PC was choosing were for a sane character. But i get the feeling crazy characters are playable in each origin in DA. 
Really insane people, however, would probably get killed for being dangerous/useless. It's dark fantasy, after all, and there were no asylums in the Middle Ages.

I voted for Apostae but this would be fantastic.
The idea of either playing through as someone a tad disturbed or playing as someone who'd been dumped in there to get them out the way doth tickle me fancy.

Now I'm stuck wondering how Dr. Walter Bishop  would translate to DA

Human Barbarian or to be more specific a Chasind Wilder Origin.

In order of preference:



#1 Low-born human who is not a farmer, but a mercenary, outlaw or something of that sort.

#2 Qunari origin.

#3 Alternate mage origin, some kind of hedge wizard.

I really like the mercenary idea. If any of those ideas were to be developed, that would definitely have my vote. The human commoner one would be like the dwarf commoner origin, but without the brutal caste system. A mercenary origin would provide something quite different entirely.

There's so many I'd want to see, but if it were one I'd want to really give a go, it'd be a Dalish mage.



If there's one I'd think almost to be a hassle too great, it'd be the Apostate mage.



If there's one that I think would be likely to make it in, it'd be a Human Outlaw.
