How about a left for dead brothel worker who overhears the wrong conversation.

Either that or a lost alien tourist trying to get back to its spaceship. You know the type - unabashed condescending pseudo intellectual drunken galactic trash that know one phrase in the local tongue (usually involving naughty acts not allowed in their own culture); and think things like muggings, darkspawn, pitched battles, town watch, dragons, and hostile indigenous people carrying torches, scythes, and other implements-of-ouch don't pertain to them.

I just hope the tool set is flexible enough for random color-wheel-of-death skin complexions and anachronistic hyper technology...

One origin that would have made sense "if you ask me" would have been mercenary for Loghains army or something... and try to lure the player that Loghain was a good guy and had some reasons for his "retreat". But that doesnt make sense releasing now...

Human Outlaw/Bandit/Mercenary/etc. Basically something for the human rogues. Being a rogue noble just doesn't feel right.
