Yeah I always thought that was bull. Cailen married Anora, daughter of Teyrn Loghain and she became queen. But Alistair marries you, daughter of Teyrn Cousland and you get princess-consort?! WTF
Uh... I'm watching an ending video right now of HN and Alistair says "my bethroed and who will be your queen". I'm guessing it's if you didn't use the persuade option at the Landsmeet so the nobles would never accept you?

Totally off the subject, all of a sudden everyone's teeth in my game are blindingly white. It's extremely distracting. Is there some sort of setting? This is really annoying. It's like a toothpaste comercial. I havent added any new mods recently.

There is an indication in dialog with Anora that she was "just" queen-consort when Cailan was alive.
Yes de jure, Anora was Queen consort and Cailan was King of Therein blood.
De facto, Anora was the real ruler and Cailan was an idiot.

He always says that. Anora says King for the male. But read the endgame slide.Zabaniya wrote...

Anora would also be considered Princess-consort. That is why I keep posting how unrealistic it would be to allow Anora to rule Ferelden as Princess-Consort; it would not happen as she is not Queen Regent. The HNF Cousland has older Noble blood and makes her the much better choice to rule with Alistair. Anora is a nobody, frankly speaking other than she was married to Cailen and that was arranged by her father (due to his close friendship with King Maric Theirin) no doubt. I still believe the best rulers for Ferelden are Alistair and HNF Cousalnd as Queen, ruling jointly.
Edit:
Anora: Could also be considered Queen-Consort when married to a reigning King (Cailen) as would the HNF Cousland if she married Alistair as reigning King. Neither would be considered Queen Regent and would not rule alone. Princess-Consort is just the less formal title of the wife of a reigning King.

Yes me too! But kind of sounds like it won't happen now with Awakening. Too bad I guess. Why give us the sacrifice ending if your expansion isn't going to support it? Why not have your warden's sacrifice honored and talked about when you start an orlesian warden file. I guess maybe it does, but thats not what it's sounding like to me. Some of the things I've been hearing in these forums today is easing my mind about awakening a bit. But I still have mixed feelings. I guess we'll see.
I just cannot wait to read the posts when Awakening gets released. I will not be able to purchase it until (if) they release a Mac version anyway (fingers-crossed). I most likely wouldn't purchase it if my PC's story does not carry over properly.

Well I persuade Alistair to Marry Anora and they rule together. So is that mean they will show together or just Alistair will show and Anora will take care of the Ferelden while Alistair away ?
My guess is that it will be handled closely to how the post-Landsmeet part of Origins was handled. If Alistair and Anora are married, Alistair will be the one interacting with the PC. One factor that might mitigate that is if you spared Loghain; you could get Anora instead, which is what happens in Origins,

Oh I think it will be quite interesting. I actually kind of wish I hadn't bought it already, I think maybe I should have waited a couple of days to see what it's like. The PC story carrying over is my biggest concern of all. If it doesn't, then it wouldn't be as fun to play Origins.Bratt1204 wrote...

This is an expansion designed to expand on the story of origins adding more plot & new experiences, why don't you just keep playing origins if you don't want anything to change? I know ppl don't like change but if we keep the same armor, companions, weapons, game options, then you're paying for nothing. We already know all there is to about our companions & we've seen all we can in origins. This is supposed to be a new experience offering new content not selling us a $40 expansion with 80% of the content recycled.
GOD I AM SO SICK OF IDIOTS SAYING CRAP LIKE THIS! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POWER LEVEL GET THAT

Still can't get over how great this game looks, hope reviews come out quickly but I don't really expect much after ign's terrible review of Origins.

You should stop being so negative about that which we have not seen. It's a major buzzkill. I'm sure the expansion that we all should be so happy to get a mere few months after DA:O will be fine. Bioware is behind it, and they are not known for making junk.

The download content will be quickly replaced with new and better stuff but apparently Bioware's thinking about making a patch for those items to stay.
Don't revive your dead warden if you don't want to. Make a new one. Both these choices are better than a large GAME OVER on your screen.
No romances because we have darkspawn to fight. This is not Harvest Moon.
It's still Dragon Age as the world and its events are set up and this is one of the stories which is generously being released a few months after the first game.
If you love the game so much, than trust the creators of it to do just as well with this chapter.

-dlc was taken out for tech reasons
-importing the dead warden is for people who don't care about rpg. if you don't like it, then don't do it and also they did say there would be an explanation
-no romancing is not that big of a deal, the warden is keeping his mind at the task at hand and is now a battle hardened warden after defeating the blight...get over it
-it will flow well, because the same exact team is working on awakening as was origins...this expansion has been in progress for over a year now
-many of the writers actually enjoy the new companions more than the original. don't you think the old characters have evolved as much as they can and would either remain static and boring or have a new twist in their story that would seem unlikely
-you will be satisfied with the expansion, we just don't know the whole story and see how the events tie together
