I could not stomach Anora the moment I first saw her. To me, she is the epitome of an insecure, manipulative, attention craving, controlling women. I agree, she does not seem to be mourning her husband in any way, I say execute her and quickly.

While she absolutely was manipulative, attention craving and controlling, she did actually care about Cailan and mourn his loss. You may not have actually gotten that during your conversations with her, but its true. It was the one thing about her that made me even slightly sympathetic to Anora.

There was no indication of official mourning..in that story that I saw.   I'm on my 13th run-through..can you point out where she's actually acting as if Cailan's death is a bad thing?   Other than that one brief episode in front of Howe, when she asks her father if he actually did kill Cailan?

I don't think she did care, because she talks about how she was the better choice for ruling..and talked kind of condescendingly about Cailan..every chance she got.

13th play-through?!?!  My god man! :o

Hopefully thats just a figure of speech..I'm not a man..at least last time I checked I wasn't  ehehehe

That's what I was about to mention. And wow, 13th play through. You really got your money's worth out of it :D

LOL, good you remembered those rediculous trends Shedevil and Feraele (courtesy of a certain Orlesian bard). It certainly seems like a nation that likes to live an exciting and extravagant(although somewhat dangerous) life. It's a nightmare for the design department. And good gracious, live songbirds !?!? Ick !! >.<

Shedevil, totally off subject, I noticed your avatar and I have the same hair mods. I am starting a hf noble file with the intention of importing over to Awakening, and I totally hate the hair in vanilla DA. My concern is that if I use the modded hair, it won't carry over and I'll have to start over again. Have you heard anything?

I would just hate to not be able to use the pc I'm working on now. I had a hf rogue nearly completed, but I had modified her class and skills, appearance, and was using that speedy dagger thing (which was ever so much fun I might add) So I figured I wouldn't be able to use a pc that heavily modded.

Yes I got to that conversation as well and was surprised at what she said. She still however sounded like her father leaving Cailen to die was justified. Love being able to call her a ruthless b**ch at the landsmeet though. That was AWSOME!

I know I have modded everything on this game, I can't live without most of them either. It will be sad. I'm hoping that Bioware will update Origins with Awakening because the bugs with Alistair after the landsmeet are annoying. (Refering to himself as king even when he's not.) Also the broken kiss cutscene needs to be fixed, this is minor but annoying nevertheless. I have an unofficial patch that fixes these things, but Bioware should fix it themselves.

Not with the hair they gave us to work with. Looks like cardboard. I wish there were more eye shapes. I didn't originally mind the bugs with Alistair, but after I got the patch, I discovered many things that you could not reach before, such as a coversation with him after the landsmeet. You would think though that Awakening would at least support Morrigans hair, right? I mean it's not great but it's better than the original hair styles. Crap, I just realized that I have replaced most of the preset faces too. I think I'm in trouble.

But doesn't DA:A need DA:O to run? if that's the case then wouldn't the das file stay intact if your sending the character over in DA:A? I would of thought at worse you could re-do the appearance again in the das if she does end up reverted in DA:A

Yes it does, I was wondering that. When I reinstalled DA this morning, I modded my preset faces and everything. I'm thinking the mods won't effect Awakening, but I wonder if you are right and we would be able to tweak the pcs appearance. Maybe I wanted a haircut or something. I just can't stand the preset stuff they gave us to work with.

I thought that the mages' robes looked strange on men almost as bad as some of the kotor 2 metalic jedi uniforms.

Yeah, and the undead cone head hats mages have to wear are even worse than the robes.

I will ask this question here as a Dev might see it or someone else might know, will there be a set back for the PS3 version in Australia? as the person asking in another thread only saw a date release for 360 and PC.

What happened to my dog? Is he dead?
No, your dog isn’t dead. Your faithful hound is still out there. He’s just not on this adventure. We wanted to introduce new characters in Awakening and although Dog doesn’t speak – the loveable mutt still needs a lot of cinematic attention to bring to life. So we spent our time on new characters that are more tightly integrated into the story.

Well your cutting the budget on Dog, saves my budget from buying the expansion. So thanks for saving me money! I appreciate you letting me know in advance.

Well spent Jack!
I feel the same.
I will wait for reviews. RPG's are so crazy, if they are good, we get emotionally involved...
Maybe when the expansion starts out, my pc is leaving and Dog stays behind with my husband (thats what it said he was now) Alistair. That would make me feel better!
<3 my Dog, Dot of War, Named after my mini pit bull Dorothy, (Dot) (she came from the 6 lane freeway)!!!

Well when I heared about DA:OA first I really hoped it was going to be Leliana that joins us again. Not that she is the person I like the most in DA:O (way more than Ogren tho) but IMHO she is the person that is willing to stay with you no matter what.

You guys might as well never buy another game, because none of them feature Alistair, Dog, Leilana, whoever else. :P

Man, Bioware must have done a great job at character writing because you people just can't let go, at all, heh heh. You love their characters so much that you're unwilling to buy a game that doesn't have them, yet you have no faith that Bioware knows what they're doing after proving to us time and time again that in the RPG genre, they're probably the best out there.

I wouldn't boycott it were I you. Bioware knows what they're doing, it all makes sense in the story and these characters will be more deeply tied to the story of Awakenings and thus keep other non-essential characters from dragging to down because they have no business being there.

Ya I find it kind of ironic that people love these characters because their so damn complex, deep, and as real as someone who wields magic can be.

Yet it's their complex stories and nature that make it so damn hard, if not impossible, for them to transfer over to new games.

It's all about trade offs I suppose.
