I could not stomach Anora the moment I first saw her. To me, she is the epitome of an insecure, manipulative, attention craving, controlling women. I agree, she does not seem to be mourning her husband in any way, I say execute her and quickly.
While she absolutely was manipulative, attention craving and controlling, she did actually care about Cailan and mourn his loss. You may not have actually gotten that during your conversations with her, but its true. It was the one thing about her that made me even slightly sympathetic to Anora.
There was no indication of official mourning..in that story that I saw. I'm on my 13th run-through..can you point out where she's actually acting as if Cailan's death is a bad thing? Other than that one brief episode in front of Howe, when she asks her father if he actually did kill Cailan?
I don't think she did care, because she talks about how she was the better choice for ruling..and talked kind of condescendingly about Cailan..every chance she got.
13th play-through?!?! My god man!
Hopefully thats just a figure of speech..I'm not a man..at least last time I checked I wasn't ehehehe
That's what I was about to mention. And wow, 13th play through. You really got your money's worth out of it

Yes I got to that conversation as well and was surprised at what she said. She still however sounded like her father leaving Cailen to die was justified. Love being able to call her a ruthless b**ch at the landsmeet though. That was AWSOME!

Yeah, and the undead cone head hats mages have to wear are even worse than the robes.
This is why I chose the arcane warrior specialisation for my mage, now he goes to battle in dragon scale armor!

What happened to my dog? Is he dead?
No, your dog isn’t dead. Your faithful hound is still out there. He’s just not on this adventure. We wanted to introduce new characters in Awakening and although Dog doesn’t speak – the loveable mutt still needs a lot of cinematic attention to bring to life. So we spent our time on new characters that are more tightly integrated into the story.
Well your cutting the budget on Dog, saves my budget from buying the expansion. So thanks for saving me money! I appreciate you letting me know in advance.
Well spent Jack!
I feel the same.
I will wait for reviews. RPG's are so crazy, if they are good, we get emotionally involved...
Maybe when the expansion starts out, my pc is leaving and Dog stays behind with my husband (thats what it said he was now) Alistair. That would make me feel better!
Sad Whine...

Man, Bioware must have done a great job at character writing because you people just can't let go, at all, heh heh. You love their characters so much that you're unwilling to buy a game that doesn't have them, yet you have no faith that Bioware knows what they're doing after proving to us time and time again that in the RPG genre, they're probably the best out there.
I wouldn't boycott it were I you. Bioware knows what they're doing, it all makes sense in the story and these characters will be more deeply tied to the story of Awakenings and thus keep other non-essential characters from dragging to down because they have no business being there.

I will ask this question here as a Dev might see it or someone else might know, will there be a set back for the PS3 version in Australia? as the person asking in another thread only saw a date release for 360 and PC.

You guys might as well never buy another game, because none of them feature Alistair, Dog, Leilana, whoever else.![]()

Ya I find it kind of ironic that people love these characters because their so damn complex, deep, and as real as someone who wields magic can be.
Yet it's their complex stories and nature that make it so damn hard, if not impossible, for them to transfer over to new games.
It's all about trade offs I suppose.
