I just updated the main thread with something that I think you'll like:
UPDATE: I learned today that we would be able to import items from Return to Ostagar into Awakening. So, don't strip out of King Cailan's armor or drop Duncan's Dagger!
Fantastic news! Makes me feel a bit better about Awakenings in general.
Ahhh geez okay so that means FIVE characters won't have their RTO items....guess they didn't say about the other dlcs hmm?
Never mind............at least you guys fixed the RTO thing. I have to stop selling armor etc now. LOL
Dang..wish that had been fixed from the get-go..oh well better late than never.

yeah. but she does tell good stories.
I do like her history stories..but to be honest, it would be nice to just leave her behind in camp...she's starting to get on my nerves. lol (14 runs..I guess maybe its time for Awakening for me)

Gold transfers over yes..its why since they told us dlc items "weren't" transferring..I started selling everything. Time to put the brakes on and stop selling..lol

Who are they best people to see your gear off to, i know Jann's in Orzammar sells high and buys low?
Oh don't know been selling just to get the gold lol. Usually won't deal with buying anything except backpacks from the camp merchant. He's too expensive.
And..Bioware..it would be nice if you lowered prices on arrows..please ..pretty please? Sometimes I end up endgame with no arrows, because they're too danged expensive to buy.

haha i guess you are not fond of ohgren being in awakening.
No, not at all. I couldn't stand him mostly. Sure he had some funny moments passing out in camp. But he wasn't really useful, or as entertaining as say, Sten or Zev.

i dont think i've ever run out of arrows, i guess its because most of the time i forget to re-equip them.
I just use default arrows. I usually forget I have special ones, or I vendor them (nice gold from the darned things)

All i want to know is DO I GET TO KEEP MY STAR METAL SWORD?! I mean i use an Arcane Warrior mage i love my Star Metal. along side the magister lords stave
The only confirmed DLC loot that's crossing over is Return To Ostagar related. Duncan's sword and dagger, Cailan's Armor, shield, and sword, and whatever else is in that DLC (there was a really nice staff and mace too).
If you mean Staff of the Magister Lord, as purchased from the mage tower quartermaster, yeah that's part of the base game. Or if you mean Corrupted Magister's Staff, that's from RTO, so it should cross over with you.
The starmetal sword was Warden's Keep, so far it's still not going to carry over.

for some reason i kept the family sword and shield just in case Fergus wanted to use them.
I kept mine too. carried it around the entire game, and probably through the next one. Hmmm wonder if we'll see Fergus and Highever....
