Hi! Can't help but notice your character hair style... can I ask you where did you get it? It wasn't in my character creation option...

I'm using a mod from DRagon Age Nexus called "More Hairstyles" and praying it works in Awakenings, otherwise I'll be a bald warden...lol

Thank you for posting this. I for one, am happy there are no new romances...I think they'd be really rushed in a new expansion.
I'M just relieved that the old romancable characters aren't dead/randomly broken up with your character. I think I was just overly paranoid after Obsidian's Mask of the Betrayer *shudders* That makes them not being there a lot easier to handle!
Yeah I prefer to stick with the romances in origins than make new ones in awakening, maybe in future expansions you'll get to meet your romance option.

* No one is really "complaining" about no new love interests/romance (I agree not every story needs romance) in Awakenings but the fact that most of the old characters are almost non-existent in Awakenings...Some love the romance options, others dont, and even others dont really care...but thats what makes the game so great...the options were there....We just want them as a option in Awakenings.... In RPGs its about becomming a character and giving that character a identity. The enjoyment and special thing about that is, that you can have 1 character seen and played hundreds of different ways...Giving each player their own experience...No one has to agree on how the game should be played or enjoyed because of the many options..and if you make a game with all of those options you need to continue to deliver on all those options....We are Grey Wardens!!..Are we only allowed 5 or 6 friends at a time? ME2 got away with some twists because they kill the main character off for 2 years and people move on (didnt like it, but understood)...but this is supposed to be a expansion and take place after the last events... I can see Morrigan running off and up to no good...Shale and Wynne doing their own thing...Sten needs a woman or a vacation somewhere warm...but the "love interests" IF you had one should be available to have in your party...and the loyal Dog?...Even if not a "party member" should be in camp with you....I am all for new characters...new alliances...new friends...but not at the cost of losing old ones!!!
As for losing DLC stuff...Why even make it available if you cannot carry it over?? If it was free content I would be less upset but the fact you pay for it is wrong to exclude it!!.. That is very disappointing! Its disappointing because some of the things are items that carry value to our characters.....even if you never use it again...The promise ring, the armor, special weapons...they are keepsakes, trophies, sentimental treasures....If you are one who doesnt RP and just hack n slash you are free to sell them but true RP'ers love to keep that have value or use only for them..Its part of what your character is/does...
The bottom line is that what makes games like this great....No matter who you are...How you play....RP'er...Hack n Slasher....Paragon or Renegade....Romantic or Ruthless...The world is open for you to decide your own destiny....When you take away from that...You lose everything you created to begin with....A great RPG is one where you love the character you are playing....Bioware: "Dont take that away!"

I'm still not sure what this is so I'll just toss the questions in here instead of making a new topic.
This is a whole new thing you import your DA:O character to? It doesn't work backwards?
I've barely started DA:O (even though I bought the CE and all the DLC so far I'm only up to Lothering) so if I bought this I couldn't take the characters/items in this back into DA:O?
The correct thing to do is finish DA:O then play this?
What do you think this is? Bioware when they used to be good? lol...I don't think so. I know you could do that with the infinity engine....to bad they just can't pull off anything that brilliant again.

Here comes the jokes. If you don't like the romance options then don't use them. Just stop the cheap shots on those of us who do. I'm not even talking about the PG13 scenes, they can take those out if they want. It makes the game realistic, to get to know a character on a level not commonly found in video games. This is supposed to be a fantasy world, right? And people want video games to be somewhat realistic? Well there you go. As far as no romances in Awakening, I'm ok with that. I just want the story to flow from origins, if you marry Alistair/Anora, etc.
I also like a romance option in some games. Sometimes it really fits, sometimes it doesn't.
But let's talk about being realistic.
If you were the only hope to save the world from certain doom as evil creatures intend to utterly destroy it, would you begin trying to flirt with the people around you? If so, then I truly fear for the ultimate survival of the human race.
If people like you were the last people on the world then we would be in trouble indeed. It is common sense that when people spend time together that friendships and romances blossom as well. Its a major part of role playing because things are just like that in the real world.

i havent ever found him to get the sword or that shield :{ i must be missing something
btw has anyone managed to find jowan after they let him go at redcliff coz all playthroughs and i've never found him again i was wondering if theres a bug in the game ?
1. Keening Blade and Fade Wall can be found from a corpse of a demon lich thing during the side quest called "Unbound".
2. Yes you can run into again when traveling on the world map, very low chance but it is there. You will run into him traveling with a group of refugees where you can let him go again and finish him for good.
About Jowan, its a confirmed bug on the pc that Jowan's quest can be picked up at a chanters board after you let him go. The bug is that eventhough you can get the quest you will NOT be able to see or do the encounter on the world map unless you debug it manually through use of the console (explained in dragon age wiki for details)

I'm glad she's not back for awakening though, don;t think it makes sense to bring her back at this point.

So, yes, I will miss my virtual husband. And my loyal friends. But I'm going to TRY and have faith we'll be together again. At least a few of us, the next time around. But dammit they better be calling me "Your highness"!
...I know there won't be any romantic interactions, but will they atleast acknowledge that you where in a relationship with Alistair?... or will he treat you the same as he would Oghren?

Is this going to be the only exspansion or is there something else on the way?
Considering they have said there is 2 years of DLC to be had for Origins, one would think they have at least another full expansion pack in the works. Although I wonder about this given the announcment by EA a while back that a "new Dragon Age title" is supposed to come out First Quarter 2011.
