I hope any hint of controversy was not why the romances were removed. People in a foxhole do get into romances often, something about facing death together...

(Sincerly) I like the way you answered this question. You gave us the marketing part first which I call shenanigans as my warden had time to romance multiple companions and camboodle here and there during a Blight. However the bolded part is the interesting part as the romance subplots have been an integral part of Bioware games for about a decade and no one has a clear perception on how much this impacts enjoyment of the game or immersion. It is a very small cost I would assume to add romance especially if you go the ME route which is 3 extra conversations and classy giggidy scene but it might increase people's enjoyment of the game. I myself found the romances to be bad in DA:O compared with ME2 and BGII excluding Alistair which was well written. I'm generally curious as too how much the fan base will react to lack of romances, is it a big deal for a lot of people, is it a big deal for a small number of people, or is it just wasted resources? Being an expansion it will be hard to evaluate this as expansions usually mean less demand but it will be interesting lurking the fan base after launch.
Honestly I've been kind of puzzled by the way a lot of people are with the romances. To me, they have never been a "must have" thing. Know how many romances Baldur's Gate had in it? Zero (I'm not talking about the second one, but the first Baldur's Gate). Same thing with the first Fallout. And everyone was just fine with it. Now every Bioware game is expected to have a romance for some weird reason. I myself didn't even pursue a romance of any kind in Mass Effect because I couldn't justify romancing an officer under my millitary command. I still had fun playing the game though and this left me free to pursue a romance in Mass Effect 2 after discovering it had romances as well. But I never thought "if Mass Effect 2 has no romances I'm not getting the game!"

RtO, apparently Starfang goes over and armours you buy from Mikhael might import but i dont know if this has been confirmed cause i got it from another post , i doubt stone prisoner will import cause it mostly adds Shale and the crystals ( we will all miss Olaf's Cheese Knife, if thats a knife and not secretly intended as dagger ill be damned! ).JZHero wrote...

I just realised your character in the photo looks exactly the same as my best elven mage.Ahisgewaya wrote...
I heard that it was just RtO that would go over. Could someone please confirm whether or not Starfang goes over?

LOL that's hilarious because I based this character mostly on how I look (except for the hair, I shave my head, no facial tattoos either, and no pointy ears obviously)Eli-da-Mage wrote...

They stated there is better equipment in the EP. When you get your hands on a Tier-9 sword with all sorts of cool enchantments on it, you'll never want to go back to Starfang anyway.

I have a Question of my own, now i play DA:O on Xbox, but i was wondering if i were to get Awakening for PC, would i be able to carry any of my characters from DA:O to DA:A? Or would i have to start all over if i went PC?
Until someone else who can prove me wrong comes along, yes, you would have to start all over.
