Well its one of those things that should be incredibly obvious I thought. Its hard for a game to be emotionally engaging when your emotions aren't engaged. Once you force the player in this expansion to put aside everything they're emotionally attached to just for the sake of 'killing new stuff' you create a disconnect between their story and the world they live in.

It doesn't mean the expansion is without merit, of course. Just that It shelved an important part of what made Origins so great. Its heart.

YES.

Are you going to include more tattoo designs? And more hair styles? (is such a girly girl)

I'd like to add to the chorus begging for a REAL Ultimate Sacrifice ending continuation. Seeing as this is one of the most frequent questions on the board, it's puzzling as to why you haven't addressed it here. But thanks for the other info.

storm of zehir was the worst neverwinter knights 2 expansion and again the only one without a romance or character relationships...bioware has yet to prove they can make an engaging expansion without including romance (which I thinks speaks to the amount of charcter development as a whole)

You know what's funny? Neverwinter Nights 2 was not BioWare.

^not only that, but Shadows of Undrentide, an actual bioware expansion... had no romances in it. And it was awesome.

Tales of the Sword Coast... probably Bioware's best expansion *ever*... had no romances in it.

No it doesn't.

It doesn't use the bioware engine, because that doesn't exist.
It uses a heavily modified Aurora (Neverwinter Nights' engine) called 'Electron'. Electron was created by Obsidian from a BioWare engine.
So you're both right. It doesn't use a straight BioWare-created engine, but the one it uses was created from one.

Got the NWN2 box next to me which states: "Uses the BioWare Aurora Engine" :)

i just had a vision, this is whats gonna happen:

in 2 or 3 months, a new DLC will be released for awakening including ONE new quest, maybe with some new items or whatever, but this quest will include you romancing a companion. this DLC will cost 15$? which will effectively make awakening 55$ over all. excited?

well romance is character development because you must pay someone to script out this characters feelings and how to effectively reach him, and what he likes, what he doesn't, what kind of person s/he looks for, his sexuality ect. but more importantly, it costs mulah.

i never knew bioware was cheap. expecially for the price were paying for awakening

i'm not thrilled about the no romance thing but hopefully in other expansions or dao 2 they develop on those things again and its just awakening that lacks those things

DA2 will for sure have romances. they cannot not. other expansions i dunno, we'll have to tough it out and see! but i think they'll learn from their mistakes, i mean, they can clearly see ppl r pissed!

true but i do understand them trying something different on awakening but if it doesnt work maybe re think it and stick with what people do love about the game and maybe try other new ideas see if they can improve future games without losing the best features in the game

Well this answers my questions, and though I am a little upset about no romance, I understand and am thankful these were answered~ :3
