And yes, I know the answers that are coming.
He's a girl.
He's whiny.
He's gay.
He's effeminate(fancy word for girly)
You are all smart. You are all so clever. Here's a cookie.
BUT PLEASE! Will someone tell me the real reason, or at least a humerous fictional one, why Kaidan is wearing pink armor at the beginning of ME2?
My desire to know outweighs the risk of the epic flamming I'm now bracing myself for. *borrows Alistairs shield and ducks*

Anderson bought it for him. (Check Anderson's desk to find a picture of Kaidan on it)

Would have been cooler if he was wearing that awesome armour he has on Horizon, though.

Yeah, that's my point. I man the armor was already designed, why not inlude it?

I wanted to say "You wear bright pink and white armor to a battle and you are poking fun at someone else's inability to make use of camouflage?"

It looks red and white in my playthroughs too! I actually didn't realise it was Phoenix armour until I saw people on the boards mentioning it. I wonder if it looks different across consoles/PCs? Or my graphics card simply isn't hardcore enough to handle Kaidan in pink...

Pink is highly tactical. It makes everyone focus on you and due to your pink armor they will start laughing, or try to hold their laughter which causes their aim to be flawed making them easier to be dispatched.

I did that once and my husband yelled at me for abusing his favorite character. So then I had to put every male character I had the armor for in Phoenix as retaliation.Jayce F wrote...
You think Kaidan looks silly in Phoenix armour? You should have seen Wrex in it in ME1.
