for me kaidan and ash were wearing phoenix armor. Liara had the same model as the hoplite armor from cerberus skunkworks from me1.

i don''t mind what armor they are wearing. As long as it works. It is fine for me.

Although it was strange to see him in phoenix armor while i thought he prefered the alliance standard onyx armor from aldrin labs

I think that was his goal, to fool the enemy in thinking he is the weak one and they will dismiss him as a threat, but realise their folly when dying by his bullets..

I know.  That's why I brought it up in our thread.  It's driving me nuts.  I think I might have been subconciouslyhoping I'd get hundreds of Kaidan haters so that the post would get the attention of the devs and then maybe just MAYBE someone could tell me why the hell he's not in his Onyx armor.

Personally, I think someone just forgot to tell the game to use the Onyx armor he wears on Horizon.  Maybe it just defaults to Ash's Phoenix armor or it was a sloppy bit of copy-paste.  In any case the "saves resources" idea is nonsense because it's simple fact that they went and gave him unique armor for the reunion scene.   Also, check out his helmet:  he still got a unique one that matches what it looked like in ME1.  To save everyone some effort, I took some crappy grabs from Youtube:

BUT PLEASE!  Will someone tell me the real reason, or at least a humerous fictional one, why Kaidan is wearing pink armor at the  beginning of ME2?

My desire to know outweighs the risk of the epic flamming I'm now bracing myself for.  *borrows Alistairs shield and ducks*

Honestly, IMO, because it was a "generic" model they could just slap on any of the LIs showing up in the beginning and was "easier" to do.  Even Liara's version isnt much of a varience from Ash's and Kaiden's.  Case in point, they were lazy and just didnt feel like re-skinning for Kaiden's armor at that point for some reason.
