This new patch has made the game more frustrating than before. It is freezing more often and I am standing on things more often as well where I can't get down from.

grr.. when i installed the patch the games main menue loads without any writing exept for 'conecting to cerburus network' there are no buttons where the writing should be. anyone else had this problem

I had same problem. Cause was that F-Secure Firewall didn't anymore recognice ME2 as a trusted program to take connection to internet, and blocked connection attempts:police:
Got it working w/ Ctrl+Alt+Del->Task Manager which gave desktop to be seen, and then went to FW properties and gave ME2 new guaranteed classification to make netconnections.

Sadly, no fixes for the PC issues concerning mouse-wheel support, double-click support, remappable keys for journal/codex, weapons bindings, mouse sensitivity.

If that also concerns you, have a look here and comment:

The patch doesn't solve the depth of field issue, and it changes the keymapping settings: I can not aim by pressing the left mouse button then before, I have to use another button. It's very frustrating, and difficult to use.

The really bad part is that they've announced that next month we are getting new missions and the Hammerhead, but my current state of crashing is too frustrating to even look forward to anything other than a bug-fixing patch. The 1.01 patch really was trivial.

You are not alone...I'm in the same boat myself.   I had to reinstall the game WITHOUT the patch to play.  I was already having freezing and black screen issues...This patch only amplified the problem for me. :(  I'm happy to see that others are finally able to play without glitches...I wish I could have the same luck. :(

How many people are playing with Quad cores and are running into black screen and freezing issues?

CPU: Intel Quad Core Q9550 2.8GHz
Graphic Card: ATI Radeon 4890
Sound: Creative SB x-Fi
Memory: 4094MB
Motherboard: Biostar TP45 HP
Powersupply: 750w
Win Vista

My other games including ME1 play without problems. :crying:

I'm done with my PC version. I'm playing through ME1 on 360 and then will play ME2 on 360, but I wonder if it will crash my 360... heh >:|

From the patch 1.01 notes:

"- Fixed an issue where remapping the right mouse button blocks camera control in the command HUD."

I didn't have this problem before patch 1.01. Before patching I was able to bind Mouse2 to the Use/Cover/Sprint function and still control the camera with Mouse2 while using the Command HUD. Camera control is now only active while pressing whichever key is bound to Aim and not permanently Mouse2, as it was before patch 1.01.

This is a bit of a pain. I didn't need this patch. I experienced none of the problems it was intended to fix. Hopefully, reinstalling through Steam with their autoupdating function disabled will revert to a pre-patched condition.

"Primum non nocere!"

I feel the exact same way, please someone tell us how to keep rmb permanently set to mouse look in tactical hud while still having it bound to other things outside of the hud, please please please please!:crying:

They should fix eye clipping bugs for eyes. It looks weird when Shepard looks as some directions and you can se the eye ball through eye lids. This is a big problem on many femShep eyes and the general flickering/cliping bug causes hair, eyes, weapons and other things to flicker. They should do something about that.

The only 2 things I miss from the patch:

1. J and U hotkeys
2. Removable DLC helmets

+1

Add hotkeys to weapons as well.
