Solution, take Miranda to the end battle instead, problem solved! This is actually very useful, since I wanted a playthrough where just Thane survives and Shepard. Miranda is awesome, so I'll take her too!

Has anyone actually seen Thane pull Shepard into the Normandy with or without a surviving squad member? My wife has been replaying the ending for hours (PC version, with full loyalty for everyone) trying to make it happen and I cannot find a single instance on the Internet where someone claims to have had Thane be the one to pull them in.
This thread is hilarious and I am just curious if it is an intentional Bioware decision, or some oddity.
