HELP MISSING COMPANIONS!!!

I've made it to the dwarven city and I know that we get a dwarf to join our party. I got the quest that takes you into the Deep Roads but the dwarf wasnt there. So I rescued the lord guy and still didnt get him what is wrong anyone else having this issue??? Help please...

This just happened to me too.
SLIGHT SPOILERS
I finished up the Urn of Scared Ashes quest line at Castle Redcliffe. I didn't kill the High Dragon because I had the horn because the boss was too hard to take out. So I left and headed back to Redcliffe, finished things up, tried going to camp and instead of leaving my party my companions stay in my group. Then if I remove them from the party, their missing!
END SPOILERS
I am on patch 1.01a.
UPDATE - I just made a new game as a male Human Noble and the characters refer to me as a female. No joke. And very disturbing...

lol thats random. i still have all the other party members but no dwarf so idk i think i might just start over ty for responding though
