This technically should be posted in the other forum but it'll probably be drowned out in all the Support Character X threads so I'm gonna ask it here.

In the final room with Warden Kuril and the 3 shield generators it seems to me that there is a infinite spawn of Blue Sun Centurions & Commanders if you don't destroy all 3 generators. On my insanity Adept run I left one generator standing to focus on the 1st commander. It died...then a 2nd one showed up...it died....then a 3rd one shows up...here I got suspicious and took out the final generator. And sure enough another wave of mercs failed to materialize and I missile spamed Kuril to death.
All in all the fight took about an hour deaths included, absurdly long. So for future playthroughs I would like to know if my suspicious are true and the Blue Sun spawns are really infinite if the generators are left standing. Or will I have to fight through the 3 waves no matter what just because its Insanity?

I noticed infinite respawn at the beginning of that mission. I've also noticed that if i move backwards in some places when I haven't killed all the enemies yet, more of them will spawn (the korgan underground tunnelish part on korlus for instance)

Yes Im pretty sure theres infinite spawns there in the final stretch of purgatory until you defeat the warden. The best strategy I've found for here is to kill the few in front of you, take out the pylon then go over to the bridge on the right take out that pylon then go all the way to the other side with all the little barriers. Take out that pylon then creep forward enough to blast him with a grenade launcher or heavy weapon of your choice :P

yes, on insanity (dno bout other difficulties) there are infinite respawns until all generators are down, and when they are down that stops any more.
edit: my first run it took me a while to realise this, was on my fourth or fifth commander (and 2nd or 3rd attempt) before it finally clicked. its also annoying because it takes about 10-20s or so for the generators to actually become targetable, so one extra wave always spawns in.

Ah so its true, thanks for the quick responses. I'll be sure to take out the generators sooner next time.

Interesting. For me they stopped coming, but after a very long time. I didn't destroy the last generator until they all stopped. Unless there is a nice, and very long, grace period between waves.

There is some kind of respaw depending on your location, sometimes I rushed so fast with my Vanguard that I took few enemys and they just stop comming. For exemple in Tali's loyalit mission, when you are in the high ground and a lot of enemys come. I charged fast, took 3 or 4 geths and they stop coming. While with the other classes I killed dozens in this part.

I think its infinite spawn until you've taken down all the generators. I always end up taking the warden down 3v1 or 1v1 depending on difficulty.

Active spawn points are quite common in the game, and some of them seem pretty damn inifinite untill a trigger is activated based on location or downing a miniboss. Having a UI notification that a spawnpoint was open would be nice, maybe having it on the radar. One more thing for my ME3 wishlist :) It's nice though that the game forces you to be aggressive and punishes the campers.

The spawning can get weird in that room too. I ran up and threw a singularity at the one to the right of the shield and then quickly ran back to where I entered the room and took cover with my squad and took out the other two and then got killed when they all entered through a door right behind us. The second time I was ready for them and slaughtered them.

You can also stand up as soon as that fight begins and fire the cain at the shield and the level will end.

I don't know, that final fight ended for me in a second (once I made the shot) :) I admit, it wasn't the first time I was playing through the game and I had this little thing called "Cain" strapped on my back.. So I aimed, it charged up, it went off and.. Done, got the "Jack runs to Normandy" sequence. Funny thing was, the guards which were supposed to be shown in that sequence were gone too, so Jack was fighting imaginary opponents.

Yes on insanity there is an infinite spawn of them, on normal there isn't and obviously not on casual...not sure about the other difficulties.
