to me it is impossible we get owned in 5 seconds. This is for the elves im trying to kill witherheart the werewolf to help the elves for my treaty. Do i need to kill this thing? how the hell do i do it?

I tried several times on Hard with my team but I had only melee fighters and it quickly became a total carnage and I had to fall back up the stairs with my 2 remaining guys (dog and zevran). Then I started to shoot the horror with Zevran's longbow....and it died REALLY fast

Two things that make the Arcane Horror a pain in the ass:



-Moving down the stairs triggers skeletons from both doorways to gang bang you

-Moving onto the four grey square areas where the Arcane Horror teleports to, causes massive paralysing and damage pain.



So the trick:



-Don't try to melee the arcane horror, you avoid the grey squares of death, and you don't trigger the skeleton hoards



-You can arm everyone with bows let have at it or what I did, had my whole party stop at the top of the stairs. Swapped to Moriggan and stood at the top of the stairs and tossed all her ranged spells at the Horror, chugging health potions/drain lifes as needed. When spells were on cool down I used her staff. Took about 4-5 minutes and he was toast. After brought down the butchers who took care of the skeleton hoard.

I'll second Sic Jake, Archers are the solution, even if all your characters are poor at archery, you can kill it from a range its spells cannot reach.
