There are too few areas, and they are all too long and grueling.. Like, the mage tower quest is physically painful to complete...
I mean, its 2 of the best gams i've played, but after 4 times....
I was planning on beating it 5 times.. mage, arcane warr, dual weild warr, 2h warr, rogue
I am on my 2h warr now, still havent don the AW.
I don't know if I have it in me to play a 5th time.

Deep Roads is my hurdle. Hate it.
I can tolerate it, but i hate the mage tower, the urn quest, killing flemmeth, and the dalish quest is also giving me a buzz kill

But I agree with the Mage Tower. On my second, third and fourth play through I saved it for last. Although it's fairly short (especially compared to Ozamar), I just find it the least enjoyable main quest area. Maybe that's why they give you so many free stat upgrades...

I don't mind going through the mage tower, but the Fade feels like a chore. I decided to just cleanse the tower this time and killed Wynne immidately.
I don't mind the Deep Roads. Imo it's one of the most fun sections with all the boss fights mixed in. Running around Orzammar back and forth is a pain. I hate all the backtracking.

Only on my 3rd play through and I have to admit I think Orzammar is the most painful place in the game. Its just way to long and drawn out. Decided to go to Orz first this time around and finding myself having trouble staying on the game longer then 20 minutes at a time because I get so sick of it.
You did Orzammar first? According to the area scaling it is supposed to be one of the harder quests. How are you handling it at such a low level?

I dislike the Fade the most, I cringe having to go through it again on each play through. I just follow a walkthrough I print out ahead of time, do it and get the hell out as fast as I can.

Game's not hard anyway, and you get more experience when you do Orzammar first I believe.

I do Orzammar right away pretty much every game. It's usually the 1st or 2nd place I hit. You do level up quick.
I have been jumping around a lot recently. I'm all over the place doing minor quests or taking the major line so far then changing locations. I just did the Urn quest and it was a bear defiling the ashes and killing off Leliana. It was fun becasue I actually was challenged a little bit.
Now I'll have the ashes ready to go when I do Redcliffe.

Hmm. I actually really enjoyed the Tower, and especially the Fade. I've only completed one playthrough so far though, but I'm going through on my second now. I realize opinions differ, but I'm curious. What is it about the Tower/Fade that is so tedious or annoying? Is it only a bother on subsequent playthroughs or did you feel the same the first time through.
I liked the Fade the first or second times through. For me after that it just became so easy and with all of the backtracking I just wanna get out of there as soon as possible now. I kind of wish it was a little more linear in the beginning so you could get the shapeshifting forms quicker. Then battle through and get the attribute bonuses.
I still like going through the Tower section. It has such a wide variety of enemies. It can be a fun area.

Mine, too. I do it first all the time, just to get it out of the way.
