Just curious what kind of "final battle" type scenarios people are anticipating for the final game of the series.

Will we defeat the Reaper horde by launching every nuclear weapon in the galaxy at them?  With an Independance-day style suicide mission to UPLOAD A VIRUS?  Will Shepard and his 2-person squad hexa-handedly defeat them one by one by planting bombs that interfere with planetary digestion?

Build a fleet of Normandies to ram them with?  Apparently anyone can build a top secret prototype stealth warship these days, so why not?  Maybe teleport the galaxy to Dimension X and save everyone but the Volus?

What do you think?

I'm going to be 'that guy' and post a serious response to what is apparently a joke thread.

The quarrians will figure out exactly what is causing Haestrom's sun to destabilize. Shepherd will then use this data to take out the entire reaper fleet by causing a star to go supernova. (face it, that's the kind of firepower you'd need to take them out in a direct confrontation)

I get the feeling the dark-energy star-collapsing tech will play an intimate part in ME3, especially since there are numerous references to "dark energy" throughout ME2, though I'm not sure if the actual practice of taking out a star will take place in a tactical sense. After all, all ships can travel at FTL speeds, meaning they can escape ANY explosion, even a super-nova, unless you find some way to prevent them from going FTL.

Meh the Reapers can't win a direct confrontation either - they're only coming out of desperation because Sovereign and Harbinger's plans keep getting botched.

Shepard's beacon visions should come into play. Also, Legion's 'reformed' geth would be incredible allies.

(I recall an illustrated book recounting humanity meeting aliens and their gradually preparing us to repel a devastating invasion from a malevolent race. It turned out to be a shaggy-dog story with the punchline being the invaders being driven away by... the theme music to the Tonight Show!)
