*At the edge of the galaxy where the Reaper counter offensive takes place*

 -Shepard walks to the Normandy Comm Room after the counter offensive against the Reapers fail, the remainder of Shepard's squad's holograms gather around too.-

Shepard: This wasn't easy. We've come this far, and I'm sorry we can't do anything else. The Reapers are proceeding to wipe out all of everyone! That doesn't mean no one else can do something. We'll warn the galaxy of the threat. We'll leave a message for the next cycle. Give them the technologies we discovered from the Reapers so they don't end up with the same fate as us...

Joker, open a comm link.

Galactic Warning: Everyone, everyone receiving this. The Reapers are coming, we couldn't defeat them. Prepare for the Reapers, give them all you've got! Nothing else matters now!... I'm sorry. Commander Shepard of the Normandy, 5.30.2186.

-Shepard uploads EDI into an escape pod-

Shepard: EDI, tell the next cycle what happened, tell them how to stop it.

*Later*

Joker: I guess this is really it... -Joker stands up-. Commander, It's been an honor serving with you -handshake & some tears from Joker-

Shepard: Are you okay?

Joker: -sits back down- Yeah, uh. something just got into my eye.

Shepard: -rolls eyes-  Haha, okay Joker, take us in for one final attack.

*Cutscene with dramatic music fitting a massive space battle with Reapers and the Galaxy's races

Shepard goes toward elevator and the love interest comes out. One final kiss and hug (Tali takes off her mask if she is a squad member and if you romance her). -Everything is slow motion at that point with an explosion at the helm going through the whole ship. When the explosion consumes Shepard and the LI,
Mass Effect appears on the screen, before the credits roll a compilation of cutscenes from ME1 ME2 and ME3 plays to further affect the loss at the end of the game.

screw that, Admiral Hacket is going to lead the combined fleets of all the races to victory after you infiltrate the reaper network and upload a virus that drops their shields.
