If you got through the Collector Ship platform ambush fine, the final boss is not a problem. Like the ambush platforms, kill non-Harbinger collectors as fast as you can. I suggest Miranda. With heavy warp and an SMG she can take barriers down fast. Other than that the fight is basically the same.
[EDIT] Oh, if you are good at timing it, and you have a fully upgraded heavy weapon + ordnance packs on the N7 armor leg slot, you get two nukes. It's not enough to kill him outright, but the Surgeon General has decided that a nuke to the eye is rather unhealthy for baby reapers.

when you take on the terminator baby. just use the Cain it takes out like a 5th of its health and use armor piercing weapons with incindiary rounds

The T3's have a weak spot on the left side of their head, knifing that area WILL cause their targeting processes to temporarily malfunction.

Use slow fire weapons with armor piercing ammo powers on it's eye's. Keep your companions in cover and they will take care of most of the collectors or at the very least keep their attention so you don't get nailed trying to shoot the reaper in the good spots.

Start with the Cain. And keep moving. I found it was beneficial to keep as much ground between myself and the Collectors as possible, so if I saw a platform coming, say, on the right, I would move behind cover to the left, obviously keeping myself safe from the Reaper, too. This gave me more time to focus fire on individual targets before they could get a bead on me. Like babylonfreak mentioned, killing the collectors before you kill Harbinger helps (the Reaper can sometimes kill them for you). And if you kill Harbinger anywhere close to you, make sure you loot the heavy weapon ammo he drops, so you can get another shot off at the Reaper with the Cain.
Basically like anything else on Insanity, it's just being patient and making sure you don't stand up out of cover at the wrong time.

I used Garrus with Tungsten ammo rank4 and also had squad armor piercing ammo for my bonus talent with Miranda on the team for the 15% dmg bonus from Cerberus leader. If you can hit it in the face with the Cain you can get up to 30% of it's health in one shot. I spent more time fighting collectors off while I let Garrus slowly pick away at the rest of it's health. Also it seems like the hitbox on it's chest is more responsive, you just don't get many chances to hit it.

Have yet to figure out a way to keep the swarming collectors at bay. Damn.
I lost Grunt apparently for picking Jacob as biotic specialist. Lost Thane after sending him crawling in thermal vents.
Stuck with Jacob and Samara against the embryo reaper.

Rasblak $ real? Tali/Legion-Vents Miranda/Garrus-2nd team leader Jack/Samara-Biotic (swarms) any loyal squadmate (Mordin) to take your Normandy crew back. Loyalty matters... Bring 2 loyal crewmates to final boss to make sure they live.

Shoot it in the face.
And,
If in doubt, use fire.

If you got a good steady aim then i've noticed a collector beam to the eye seems to a lot of damage to it.

warp the hell outa that baby. cannon pistol is probably your best option (smgs are useless far range) - make sure you save ammo before you actually reach Arnie otherwise you'll be looking for ammo whilst its shooting its lasers at you. Use your comrades to take down the drones/general whilst you shoot at the reaper. Thats what i did.

pretty much same as on other difficultys, stay in cover, try to pull the mobs (or harbinger atleast) to reaper's line of fire so when the reaper fire its mouthfull of puke it insta kills the harbinger, for me it was getting harbinger on right spot and then just keep him still with spamming drones, as for Terminator, I shooted and threw special abilitys (like incenirate) at it, was pretty easy

Still at it. I.. well, fell back to an earlier save and replayed halfway through the vents part.
At least that allowed me to pick Jack instead of Jacob as biotic specialist.
That chick rocks.. "Follow me if you want to live!"
I've therefore managed to keep Grunt alive, and it's him and Samara, both loyal, with me on the final boss.
I'm considering switching Grunt out for Tali or Legion though; just to see how useful the combat drone is at slowing that spammingly annoying harbinger down.

Yes! Yes!! Did It! Yes!!
It was worth 'going back' to the vents. This time I saved my heavy ammo all the way through.
Cain. Sniper Rifle. You will know pain, Harbinger!
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You BioWare!
That was the most trying and rewarding Finale I've played... Ever!
I was clapping like a seal a-la Paula Abdul when Arnie finally went down. Muahahaha. 3 days!!
I lost Miranda though. I tried hard for Paragon points to save her butt after Jack's loyalty mission.
