Final enemy that i have pulled over a pitfall as he is frozen sending the harbinger falling to its death before it loses its shields.

ITT: we talk about how badly we've messed up harbingers as they were "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL"

The 5 second I AM THE BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY transformation sequence is a death sentance. 9 times out of 10 I kill them before it finishes.

Harbinger assumes control of a cyro-blasted Collector while a dominated Collector Assassin shoves a particle beam up his ass. It did not end well for him.

Of course then he just assumed control of the drone with a sliver of health left.

Even on Insanity you can put some hurt on Vanguard when he is taking control. Any enemy that holds still that long has "Insert Widow Rounds Here" tattooed on its forehead.

I like how remote piloting someone magically grants them biotic powers and physical armor.

Because piloting someone magically makes sense but granting them extra powers does not?

If a Reaper can bring seren back from the grave (even with two rounds in his head) as a wall crawling, fireball spitting, super dexterous agent of Armageddon .. I think we're getting off pretty easy with harbinger only possessing a living bug that's negligibly more effective than your average drone.
What honestly irritates me is some of the arcadey illogic of power effectiveness.  Why does physics take a holiday just because somebody's got some armor or a barrier up?
I mean, natural gravity is obviously just as effective as ever .. why is my 4th tier Singularity (which is easily stronger than standard gravity when used on a bare person) suddenly little more than a speed stop when a guy is wearing armor?  It literally breaks my brain trying to invent some internal logic for it just so I can enjoy the game.  lol, it's just frustrating to jump through such arbitrary hoops when there honestly doesn't seem to be a legitimate internal logic for it.

I just Dominated a collector drone, then straight after Harbinger takes control of it, Harbinger starts fighting for me for a few seconds before he stops and starts shooting at me instead. I loled when I saw that, I had control of a Reaper for a few seconds.

of a Drone just before EDI opens the airlocks to purge the ship during the IFF event. Promptly saying "sh!t, sh!t, sh!t"

Already established with Saren's transformation. The implants allow for a reaper to channel a lot of power (dark energy?) through a remote body. Every collector was implanted as such, evidenced by Mordin describing how everything in the collectors was replaced by tech.

This. Even on insanity I can whittle away his barrier and some of his armor by the time he can actually move. Granted, I do play as a soldier, so that does make it significantly easier.

After playing Insanity, you realise how horrifically easy Normal is. Like, insultingly easy.

This.

I beat the game on insanity and then did the last level on normal again just to see how it went.  I didn't have to use cover half the time.

If you look carefully and listen in the end sequence you hear the Harbringer say "Releasing Control" of the Collector leader. He dies a free man...

So basicly the reapers control the Collectors by having control of their leader and thru him they can connect to the other beings. The reapers seem to focus on hive like races for easy control or turn them into hive like races.

Harbinger likes to control collectors on the verge of death... But its OK, because during his little "take over" animation he gets a **** load of rounds in the face. ^_^
