I installed Windows 7 on my computer. At first, every time I tried to install BDtS, it said that the game can't verify ownership. Now, every time I try, the setup is cancelled after I enter the CD key. Can anyone offer advice?

There's page up and page down about this on the interwebs. I have the same problem. The "validating license file" makes my installer crash. Annoying as **** because it means I can't get to my save games.

Are you running the installer as Admin? I had no issues w/ the BDtS DLC installation on W 7 x64.

My weird story

Last Time i had to do the kill-task trick (kill the task for the key-window) from the Steam-forums. This time it didn't work.
After trying several things i removed the pre-set compatibility mode and... it suddenly worked.
It was set to Windows XP SP3 without my doing, removed that and it finally worked without even starting the installes as admin. :?

Doesn't cancel now (admin mod with no compatibility set), but it can't verify the ownership, says it needs internet connection.

did you add the firewall-exceptions via game launcher/settings?
your computer is connected to the internet, right?

DRM sucks hard!
