They appear to represent silhouettes due to the darker lighting but if you look at them for a good couple of seconds you realize that they're all flat shaded, cheap looking, blocky polygons that look like they came from a first generation Sega Saturn game.

the fact that they have obj geometry at all is still a nice touch, they could have just as easily used a flat plane with textures on them. more so when it's at a place mot people will only catch in the corner of your eye.

Yes I noticed that, and thought that it was a very clever way to make the club appear full without taxing the hardware too much. They use the same effect for the bodies in the buildings above the trading floor on Illium. It is quite effective, and the fact that it took me so long to notice means that it serves its purpose; it makes for effective atmosphere rather than a distraction.

You see the same thing on Illum I believe, its a cheap trick sure, but its not like you notice it.
