 I bought the game's original copy yesterday. I succesfully installed the game, but when ı try to make a new character, ıt's freezing at load screen. What can ı do?

Immedietly after launch?

When trying to import a character

Once import is done and you hit play?

I'm having the same problem. Uninstalled the game several times. Ran in windowed mode. Updated vid drivers. Called support for several hours. Still can't play game. Getting ready to return it. Which is sad cuz I loved the first Mass Effect.

ihave a questions.... when i first hit the mass effect button and it gives me the option to play, configure and such.... i hit play and it dosnt work!!! i need help i just spent 250 bucks to rebuild my computer for this!!!

Monday, BioWare publish a patch for that problem.

I have the same problem >< Figures. Wait till monday, eh? The thing is, the patch states it will make it work for single core processors, but I have a dual core...

The game not starting is not fixed by the patch. It fixes the "New game" crash and stuttering videos.

I downloaded the patch it just made it 10x more worse now it laggs and it still freezes

Given that its a necrothread, and havent dont anything to post an error report, I'd say theyre having a whinge and a dummy spit. Especially considering they necro'd another thread about planet scanning, rather than using the one that was already open and on the front page.

There seem to be people who wear the really oddest variety of blindfolds, though which they can only see what they want to see.  Really an odd characteristic. 

I'd have added that if the member does want to take the blindfold off, then post the normal problem report in a brand new message, not in this old corpse.
