Miranda is chosen for us by TIM, however if you could, who would you have in that position?

I would have Tali as my first choice, followed closely by Garrus. Tali's journal shows us how commited to Shepard she is (by wishing she could share the defining moment of her life up to that point with Shepard) and so I feel she would be the most loyal and most likely to have my back.

Garrus is a very close alternative - he has more command experience it seems to me in the military sense, but his loyalty does not seem as secure.

I don't care, as long as i could shoot miranda in the face. But Garrus seems to be best choice. Followed by Samara.

That is true, she does not have direct experience leading a ship; she did lead expiditions (including one deep in enemy territory) and her father is a Fleet Admiral (and on the Council as well) so I think she has some leadership experience.

Good choice and point as well ... which begs the question of is Miranda the XO just because she is your "controler" for Cerebus?

I'm not so sure I REALLY trust anyone to lead. For lots of the game Miranda is more loyal to Cerberus than Shepard. I'm not sure I can trust Garrus [Mr. I got everyone killed] if he's actually in charge. I don't really see anyone else with the right experience.



Given the limited choices I often pick Miranda but on those missions that I'd be more worried than normal about Miranda betraying me then I'd have to go Garrus.

Id find a way to import my 120 billion credits from ME1 and re-start the lazarus project to bring back Pressly. Except he will have rocket launchers and a chainsaw for a hand.

Garrus would have been my natural choice as well. He's not a Cerberus lapdog, he's your right hand man that you can trust.

Tbh, Miranda is fine for the job. As certain engineer once said, even her uniform makes you stand in stiff attention.

Garrus and Tali are the most loyal to Shepard. Garrus has more combat and leadership experience than Tali, so I vote Garrus. Tali is better as the Chief Engineer, as which she would excel.

That said, I think Miranda's a pretty good XO.

I don't see how Tali would even begin to make a decent XO. I wouldn't trust the "cheerleader" if my life depended on it. She's way too Cerberus for my liking so I'd definatly allow Garrus to my XO.

Garrus, since he's my bro even more than Jacob is. I suspect he's the only character who'd follow Shepard to hell and back even if the Reaper threat didn't exist. Everybody else is along for the ride because they want to help stop the Reapers (Jacob, Miranda, Mordin, Tali) or follow their own code (Thane, Samara, Grunt). One exception is Jack, but she's along to strike at Cerberus and possibly play space-pirate. Tali wouldn't make a good XO because she has little command experience -- great with engines, not so much at command decisions.

3rd Place: Jack (Just to f**k with Miranda)

2nd Place: Chatikka (The only mechanical worth a damn!)

1st Place: Boo Jnr (Space Hamster FTW!)

True. Espetially after EDI gains full acces to Normandy and becomes a ship, in a sence.

I believe you are meaning Miranda (to my knowledge Tali is anti-Cerebus).

I laugh at anybody who would pick Tali. Seriously, she is an awful leader.

Garrus. He's not my favorite character, but he is one I can trust. It's just to soon to trust most of the other squadmates, and Tali's leadership skills are crap. Yeah she led that expidt5ion into Geth territory, on which everyone died and she would have to if we didn't show up. The worst Garrus is going to do is try to take my team on a pointless revenge mission.
