I vote for Garrus. Tali is not an option as the Commander and XO need to be able sleep in shifts so one of them is always awake and I want Tali in bed when I'm there...

XO?  He's a goddamned N7 Captain/Admiral Alliance officer, Counsellor of Humanity, and potential Spectre.  He's a squadmate that can rival Shepard.  He punches Udina in the face for you.

the logical choice would be garrus, miranda or jacob....they are leaders the rest of the crew arent. i would pick jacob

Tali has no leadership experience. All her squad leading activities in ME2 (Freedom's Progress, Haelstrom) end in failure, death of the squad and require Shepard coming to the rescue.



I like Miranda for XO position, but if I had choice it would have to be Garrus.

Garrus of could I would have as my first position. Tali, second, Thane, 3rd and mordin 4th. holla!

As much as I like Garrus I wouldn't trust him to make command decisions.  Even when you are absolutely Paragon-ing him he's too Punisher for my tastes.

If Kaiden were alive he'd be a good choice, IMO.
Neither Ashley nor Jacob are officer material, as I see it, but either are great squad commanders and as NCO's I'd be happy with either stepping up when no officer is present.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say if I couldn't have Kaiden, then next in line would be Zaeed.  I do have the same worries about his as I'd have about Garrus, though, but I think if under someone's command Zaeed would tow the line whereas Garrus has shown a remarkable distaste for authority even if he'll do as Shepard says.

So Kaiden'd be my first choice, followed by Zaeed.
And Jacob and Ashley would both be the top NCO's.

My Renegade would absolutely trust Garrus as XO, as he's the person who sometimes reins in her crazy. But considering the command post, she would probably pick Jacob over Garrus so that the humans would feel more comfortable taking orders from him. Besides, it's very rare that she leaves the ship without Garrus at her heels, so Jacob it is.



My Paragon would pick Jacob as XO because she trusts him and his leadership ability with the crew. She would never pick Garrus because he's not the right person to command a human crew. Miranda can't be XO because she has to follow Paragon Soldier Shepard everywhere.



Both of my femSheps really want to flush Yeoman Chambers out the airlock and promote one of those random crewmembers from the table downstairs to her place.

From "tactical" standpoint, Miranda is actually the best choice. She's smarter, faster, and stronger than your garden variety Human. So, I would actually keep her as my XO. However, if I absolutely HAD to choose someone else, I'd have to go with Grunt. Why? Because Im fully capable of handling the dealings of command myself, I'd just want Grunt there for the "off chance" that someone gets out of line. In that case, I just point and say "Grunt, kill" lol.
