Thats a tough one, but i think the idea of Legion came from HK 47, if you look at the similarities both love killing, its impossable to get a straight answer out of them but legion does do the robot so legion wins ;D

What makes you think Legion loves to kill?

Legion doesn't kill because he loves it, he does it out of necessity.

I'd go with Legion. It's a tough one because both were very well written. HK-47 made me laugh every 5 minutes, but after a while, even wanton violence does get boring.
Legions wins there. He's much more interesting to talk to. And I'd rather have a logical, independant, thinking robot sidekick than a sociopathic murder on my six.
And Jono, I think you've got it wrong there... Legion never once mentions anything about liking to kill people...

HK-47 all the way, even though Legion does the robot.

I'd rather see a conversation between the two. I'm sure they both having plenty of notes to compare about organic meatbags.

They're both awesome, but HK-47 wins in my books. The stuff he came out with when you tried to repair him without high enough skill had me in stitches.

I prefer Legion. HK-47 is too aggressive for my tastes.

You can't really compare them.
Legion is interesting because he gives us much information about the Geth and tries to tell us how it is to be a "synthetic", how exactly he and this Geth-Overmind works.
HK-47 is an awesome Character because he HAS an awesome character. His vulgar brutality and his aggressivnes make him a fun character to listen to.
So I guess if Legion wouldn't explain us that much about being a Geth, he wouldn't be that interesting of a character. HK-47 on the other hand doesn't have anything to back him up, only his awesome personality.

HK 47 hands down. He has about 100% more lines of dialogue, and 100,000 funny retorts.
Legion is interesting, and he fits in the Mass Effect universe much better, but he doesnt have the charm that HK does.
"systems failing master!"
If you need further evidence...

HK 47 through humor alone.

Legion, just because I like the idea of 1000+ subprograms ("we are each a nation") coming to consensus vs the usual human synthesized personality.

HK-47: Commentary: The OP is efficient and brutal, even for an organic. I rather liked him when you first introduced me to him. If I had known he would compare me to Legion, master, I would have gladly removed his entrails, right then!
HK-47: The OP once asked me what I thought of him and I informed him of his meatbag status. He was unimpressed, but you thought the reference was humorous. You programmed me to continue using that reference. It drove your pupil to extreme lengths of frustration."
Seraosha: "So... the OP was the original meatbag. I like that idea."
HK-47: "Of course you do, master. You liked it then as well."

Can I crush his neck now, master? Just a little? It's been a long time fantasy of mine...
