Legion is interesting and insightful to the 'culture' of the Geth.

HK is a borderline sycopath with a surprising humor streak.

Shale is a hunk of stone with a dry wit that will leave you in stitches... but so can his hands.

HK-47 only appeals to juvenile males of all ages. Since I am neither juvenile nor male, I prefer the much more fully realized character Legion.

I disagree - Legion has a deep character, it is just revealed very subtly. Example - patching his hole with Shepard's N7 armor, even he seems not to be sure why he did it. It's a very illogical and unrobot-like thing to do, but it hints that he admires Shepard, and his feeble attempts to dodge the question are simultaneously endearing and disquieting.

I'm not familiar with HK-47, but Legion is definitely a character I want to see more of, and not just for his tidbits on geth culture.

HK-47, he's got more personality imho. Legion is also one of the latest squadmates you can recruit, therefore he gets less "screen-time" than the others.
