Image IPBWas bad idea completely to refuse the game mechanics of first part Mass Effect. It would be much more effective to transfer completely all game mechanics in that kind as it was, having added its darkness with elements which have been realised in the second part:
- thermodynamic coolers (are used not as cartridges, namely as protection against a weapon overheat. Accordingly, the weapon can be used without them, but in case of an overheat should be damaged)
- Nanite (what have refused in the second part, but could become interesting addition to the game mechanics. Is an account material for repair of the weapon after an overheat.
+ an account material at breaking mechanical devices and locks.
+ an account material for some abilities of the engineer)
it is necessary to think Of it at least in the light of that it would be possible to republish the first, second and third part of game as a unit. Therefore it is desirable to develop the uniform mechanics for all three parts. And now particularly for the second part it could be realised in the form of loaded updating. As to system of skills nothing prevents and to let out updating which will clean possibility of use of arms, not characteristic for a class of characters for the first part. + to make possible development till 80-90 level in the second part, with carrying over of all skills of the first part.
What will it give from the point of view игроой mechanics? In the game mechanics of the second part it is supposed that all skills from the first part have been developed to a maximum level, accordingly, the player быдет is compelled to develop not only skills from the second part, but also to pay attention to old skills.
Image IPBBy the way, it means that already now it would be possible to republish the first and second part as uniform game.

Meh, I don't really care too much about the gameplay in Mass Effect... I play for the story. I'm also just killing time while I wait for DX3.

Image IPBThe first Mass Effect was a great word in genre RPG whereas the second part, despite the improved drawing and a much alternative plot, looks as made on a knee in garage. And all from for those, ostensibly "the improvement", which developers have entered into game under impression of opinion of the most devoted fans which actually only коратают time, playing epoch-making game. Such players do not feel depth of game, for them staginess is important.Image IPB

@MasterAlukard. I would have to guess that English is not your first language, am i right?

By the way i'm not trying to be offensive, it's just an observation.

On topic. I can't really say that i agree with your points (those i could actually read & understand) i think Bioware did a great job & greatly improved on the original in pretty much every possible way.

Probably... But agree, from for these improvements other game, instead of continuation in this case has turned out. For example: in the first part citadel visiting was a separate game component, now it it is possible to bypass all for five minutes. But where in this case game atmosphere? In a heap of messages? The citadel was compressed from the sizes of an administrative centre till the size of a supermarket
