I wanted to try a dwarf since I felt like play a more "thief" (I figured the castless origin would be perfect for this) like character, but I can't bring myself to make a male dwarf to romance leliana with(it just feels wrong as a dwarf to start with, Female ones seem bareable;)).

I've never romanced her before in a playthrough, but I was wondering if the romance with leliana was roughly the same as if a male character would do?

I was also wondering if dual wielding talents as a rogue are worth bothering with if I was just going to be the backstabbing type, I know the rosethorn is great for the main hand, but what other weapon would suit the offhand ( I imagine what ever weapon gives the most buffs :P).

Or if using a sword might be worth it(kind of like the sword and dagger look).

I know I might have asked many questions on the forums as it is, but I liked getting different opinions on gear and builds, Helps me feel more involved with the character when I put other peoples information to work. :)

Also if I didn't wana use leliana, could I still get the most out of the romance(besides the quest for her bow what else could I miss out on?).

Leliana romances equally well with both men and women. Women just have to move a little slower. Until I learned all the triggers I found it very hard not to wind up in a romance with her. I'd be pursuing Alistair or Zevran and next thing I know she's confronting me about two-timing her.

Dual wielding rogues are a lot of fun. It's a lot easier as the main character as all you have to do is set Alistair or Shale to taunt and then put your character behind the people you want to kill. Lethality and Momentum are the two skills you want.

Last I checked the forum gurus were saying two daggers are better than two swords or a dagger and a sword. But go with what seems fun to you.

As for what you miss, my favourite Lelianna moment is what she says when you run into the Great Oak for the first time. She always makes me giggle.

Back to the Dwarf Commoner origin, the gender doesn't make much of a difference. You can flirt a bit with Leske as a female, which is always nice.

With lethality my sword damage will be affected by cunning instead of strength any how, correct?

Guess I can do assassin/bard, not sure which to get first :P

That what the pundits say.

It really doesn't matter. Get the one you like the best first.

Lately I've been playing rangers, but I really like animals. :D

All of the rogue specializations are fun, unlike <cough>mage specializations<cough><cough>.

I always found ranger annoying, having to rebuff after each load screen when I summon a new pet :(

1. Yep, the same whether you are a man or woman. I got the feeling that Leliana preferred woman more than men thouh(that's just my opinion though).

2. You don't need the weapon talents but they are usefull. Momentum is a must for dps, sweep and whirlwind are useful when you are surrounded, Ripste is a stun which is usefull with coupe de grace and Punisher is pretty much an insta-kill with high cunning. Cripple is weak and useless though and you don't need dw mastery as daggers are much more effective.

3. No, when backstabbing only the main hand weapon counts and the Roses Thorn is easily the best. You are better off equiping a second dagger with +backstab damage. I managed to get a total of +55% backstab damage(Roses Thorn 30, Red Jenny Seekers 15 and Fang 10). Also, I tried dagger/axe and it seemed to slow attack speed.

4. Yes, as long as you talk to her regularly.

Also, I would go for Assasin first as it is the best backstabbers spec.

Oak Tree Leaf, it's a house in the Denerim Market, right behind where you duel Ser Landry the first time you come to Denerim.

I had a female red headed casteless dwarf with a similar hair do to Leliana. I was originally going to do the romance with me having giggle fits of Leliana + mini Leliana. I deleted that though, and made a different casteless dwarf.

As for the weapons...

Dual wielding is a pretty powerful thing to do on rogues. It's not a waste of time even while backstabbing. If you do go the lethality route, and you want to wield a sword keep in mind that you'll need 31 strength to use the best ones. You can get there with items, but you'll still want 25-27 in strength. Oh, and keep in mind the fade points before you spent level ups on those strength pts.

Red Jenny Seekers are a reward from completing all of the Crow assassination contracts from what's his face in the Denerim market (he sends a little boy to give you a note. You find him in the bar in the Market).

Leliana puts out for anyone, her deep roads are even more cavernous than Isabela's
