I've been around and around with the L1 and L2 live chat reps all giving me the same CD key for BDTS for which the activation limit has been reached. The newest excuse is their tool to increase the activation limit is not working. For those that were given a key that worked in your installer, were the 1st 4 digits 3FLL? If so, then I'll wait for the activation limit to be increased once again because that gives the hope that they are indeed increasing the activation limit on the same key that they give out to everyone.

Yes, they were. I just installed it not 5 minutes ago and it worked fine.

Wow, previously, I was getting the activation limit error and now I'm not.

There is HOPE for EA!

Looks like they -ARE- actively increasing the activation limit.

BTDS DLC has SUCCESSFULLY been installed.

Hi all I am wondering about this I got a CD key from a very helpful EA support Girl but the thing is after I entered it, it said validating the key then it came up with install failed now it wont work at all, I asked her why it isn't working then she said the servers are down try again in 48hrs:huh: so can you guys help?

I was given a key, but was told that it wouldn't work until EA upped the limit on cd keys on Monday/Tuesday.

Hey guys I'm having the same issue, but I can't use the EA support chat b/c when it asks me to login it just keeps kicking me back to the login page. Was wondering if anyone knew how to get past that and if not if someone would be so kind as to contact chat for me and send me the CD key via PM to moorihand@hotmail.com I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yesterday, on live chat, they told me that I would have to wait for a patch. Today I spoke with a girl on the phone that got me a new cd key. The ME key worked fine, but BDTS doesn't work.

I got a similar thing, with the key not working.

A rep then gave me the other DLC Pinnacle Station for free. He offered that or a complete game of my choosing from the entire EA library, I didnt like the idea of getting a 30 - 60 dollar game because a free DLC didnt work. so I dunno.

Also of note, Pinnacle Station had to be dl'd through Origin but I installed it from Origin to my Steam copy. So Origin/EA are compatable with Steam. Thats not the issue. I really think they should just post a download for it, it's free anyway.

Got the key from live chat that begins 3FLL and it rather takes my breath away that they couldn't just publish it where everyone can find it as just makes legit customers waste time and effort for nothing.

Of course, people who don't pay for games don't have to struggle with this nonsense.

i was given a key yesterday that didn't work due to the same limit problem discussed earlier. It randomly worked this morning though so it's definitely in the process of being fixed up.

I just got the usual 3FLL key from tech suppot, but when I complained that it didn't work, she told me that the the techs are looking into it and that I should try later. I'm going to give it a shot after work tomorrow to see if they're come through.

I'm pretty annoyed by this, because I was all set to just pirate the whole thing, but I had a change of heart and bought both Mass Effect games off Origin. It's pretty sad that it's harder for legit customers to play BDTS than it is for pirates.

I too had to contact EA for a key for this DLC, and they saidf my steam key that I gave for my ME1 game was invalid and they made an acception and gave me a DLC key anyway but they told me not to use the DLC Key for 48 hours to a week because they have to activate it on thier servers

I will find out later if it actually works or not when that time comes.

I played this DLC once when the old Bioware page did work. its critical to have it, cause one of the armors for your squad is on that DLC. Can't get it anywhere else.

now I want to play this again to do a Renegade Run Through, I already finished ME1 and ME2 with Paragon.

Well, this is refreshing. As Tech Support promised, the key they gave me last night just worked. I'm glad to see that BioWare is still actively supporting their legit customers, even if they are going about in pretty poorly.

For a game this old it seems to me they may as well have removed the cdkey requirement for the install. Really irritating that I can't continue my old saved games because they were saved with BdtS activated. :S

Technical support just gave me a vague 'we're working to resolve this' standard response.

Similar chat experience, except for a lot more of apologies (we're really really sorry-I feel deeply for you-I imagine what you're going through...) but nothing useful. Yeah they should just publish a key that will work for anyone who has the game and the DLC. This only affects us legit players, I'm sure pirates can play just fine!

Got the same 3FLL master Cd Key from an EA tech support rep, he told me it won't work until tomorrow or for another 2 days because they can't increase the activation limit since their "activation limit increaser tool" is down (anyone else thinks it sounds like a poor excuse?) I told him they should've thought about it before taking down the old bioware website, and he said he was really sorry and they're working on it. At least it's a good thing they're retroactively trying to fix their stupid mistakes...

Very irritating. I've sent several mails to tech support now and not once have they even responded to my questions regarding serial keys. And now I check back on these forums and other people have been given a key days after I've been fobbed off with the standard 'very sorry working to fix' response again.
