Contact EA via the official support site, explain you already generated the key and lost it, they should send it to you again. If not try again, sometimes it can take a couple of tries depending on who picks up the message.

They finally gave me a key but it said all activations had been used so the rep told me to reinstall ME, so there goes another 10GB from my bandwidth cap

I do have a CD Key, but am unable to register Mass Effect to my Bioware account - for some reason i only have the options to register Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age (Origins, Awakenings or DA2) or Warhammer Online. no other options are presented.

every time i try to log in to ea's "support" site i get sent to a dead end and then every link is a dead end

Same problem is here: I've bought a Mass Effect 1 yesterday...and I can't register the ME1 key to get Pinnalce Station DLC and Bring Down the Sky DLC cd-keys ... damn

I just got off a chat session with EA tech support. I explained the problem that I couldn't register Mass Effect 1 to get the BDtS DLC and the tech support guy appologized for the inconvenience and immediately provided me with a download link and a product key.

If you're having the same problem, don't give up just try the chat function.

You guys suck.  I contacted tech support and they had a valid code for me IN TWO MINUTES.    And, that by e-mail, no less!!  I gently caress you not.

Still working on it. They actually suggested I use my Mass Effect product key today.

Weird that the guy I talked to just immediately handed it over and others keep struggling with it. Maybe you should try to talk to different people via the chat system and hope to get a reasonable person on the other end.

After reading this thread, I contacted EA support today to ask about it...but they told me that Bring Down the Sky is no longer available.

@Lysinc: Not that I am aware of. I havent had to contact EA support personally, so I cannot say for sure.

@Feriku: Try again a bit later. There are a few support reps who know what they are doing, and can give you the code fairly quickly.

@Lysinc: I didn't have to give anything to get the CD-key for BDtS. It kinda figures though because what would you do with BDtS if you don't have the original game?

@Feriku: That's just complete bull. If it isn't available they had better make it available since they even advertise it on the box. And as I got it just a few days ago it surely is possible to get it.

Just got off chat support and they gave me a key for BDtS in 2 minutes.

And I just sent an email through the EA help page and got a reply with a key in literally 2 minutes as well. Kinda impressed actually.

edit:...and the code didn't work. Something about the activation limit being reached. Managed to get it working through chat after the guy on the other end increased the acitivation limit on the code. If anyone else runs into a similar problem you may have to get them to do this for you.

I talked with a Tier 1 rep via online chat - No help whatsoever other than the fact /he/she suggested to call via phone.

I did that today about a few hours ago, after minutes of back and forth with that rep, he simply told me BDtS was broken and unobtainable. He said he talked to a few other people there and put me on hold, which apparently everyone there said it was unobtainable as well. He tried to generate me a key for BDtS and that failed as well since he claimed he could not find it anywhere in the system. He did see however, all my DLC for ME2 on my BioWare account and Pinnacle Station on my EA/Origin account.

Should I call back in a few days? I appreciate the time and help from everyone!

PLEASE I AM ALSO stuck here, cant find ANYWHERE in the EA or Bioware sites, does not want to give me code, ALL their links are broken and I cant install BDTS

WIN! I found a way to do this and I followed this: forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php

Basically, I kept on opening online chats with reps until I got a working code. Just copy and paste this and enter it as your first message, if they BS you, end the chat and try again until you get a code, worked for me after about 7 reps.

"Hello, I have the Steam Version of Mass Effect 1. I would like to play the "Bring Down The Sky" DLC. Could you please give me a CD Key for this?"

Why has mass effect been taken down? It won't let me register the game, so now I can not get the dlc!!!
