It was taken down because of a security breach. To get BDtS either contact EA or pirate it. EA shouldn't mind the piracy because BDtS is free to begin with.

Hi can someone please help me. I would love to play the bring down the sky DLC in ME1 but I says that I should registrer my game, but when I go to my profile and registrer game the only one I can registrer is Dragon age and ME2. So my question is where do I registere ME1 pleas??

I had to re-install and I had saved my original CD key for BDtS.  The DLC installs but the DLC does not show up. Tried two reps so far and neither could give me a CD key.

Combined with all the other issues I have had with EA i am strongly considering canceling my pre-order and never buying an EA game again.

 I went thru 13 advisors. and 2 phone calls and still can't install BDtS

But when I try to run it I get the message: "The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete."

Where can I get a version that works?

Seems i am having the same problem as a lot of people. I am trying to get to registeration code for BDTS but the links are broken and you just go around in circles. You would think that EA would take a bit of trouble to fix this.

Does anybody have the E-mail link for EAs help page.

Yup the link on the page is broken, I contacted EA support through the Live Chat, he sent me a link to download it, and a key, worked pretty well.

I cannot register Mass Effect to my account to get the BdtS key. The register games tab only shows newer titles ... Whats up with that?

It did not work for me. After having a nice chat with the guy on the other side, it appeared that the code I recieved with my download is invalid?! And I was redirected to ask for help at Bioware, but every link I try keeps sending me at ea.com. Please, advise?

Pal, you have not read the upper posts - accounts.bioware.com where you are supposed to register your game no longer exists => you cannot register your game => you cannot receive the corresponding activation code for your game for "Bring Down the Sky". I hope for your sake that help.ea.com will help you, because I am still waiting for 36 hours to get a reply for my trouble.

Ladies and Gentlemen, finally a solution. Apparently there is a modified BDtS DLC with an universal serial code. I suppose it is universal, because no one at the EA Support asked me about my original activation code for Mass Effect 1 and I know the original DLC was code-bound to the main game. Here is the download link for the modified installer and here is the activation code: Code - 3FLL-43UU-JTN8-W8EX-25J3 . If you recieve a message for Error (6000), tune down or turn off your firewall before installing the DLC. Have fun!

As soon as I re-downloaded your link, blocked all my firewalls, and tried the code, it worked! At long last! Thank you so much, Astera, this issue had been racking my brains for several months!

So I've been reading up and thanks to this post I have the BDtS installer and key ready to go. Just one question - do I need to install the 1.02 patch or will the Steam version of Mass Effect I got the other day be up to date? How do you tell?

The Steam version -should- automatically aplpy the patch, but it doesnt happen 100% of the time.

BDtS includes the 1.01 patch, so I would suggest getting the 1.02 patch and installing it after BDtS, just in case Steam didnt do it properly. Installing it a second time wont break anything, so no worries about that.

The way you tell what game version you have, is by going to the "Game" tab under teh ME1 config utility. Steam doesnt give you access to it, but you can just get windows to search for a file called masseffectconfig.exe
