They told me to use the key 3FLL-43UU-JTN8-W8EX-25J3 and It didn't work.

When I replied to the message, I got the same automated email response.

Specifically, the installer said 'Installation Cancelled' after I clicked next.

I re-downloaded the BDTS installer just incase, but that didn't help.

Did anyone else have this problem or know how to solve it.

Also, does anyone know of a place I could call and talk to ea support, or even email to a person, instead of just getting an email robot that clearly does not understand or even read the email that is sent to it?

I had that issue too until I downloaded the linke that Ashera posted back on page, oh goodness, 17 or so. Then I used the generic code and it worked. But I also had to shut down my firewalls.

I had forgotten how these dlc keys need to log onto a server for verification. I turned off my firewall and it worked fine with the code.

you need your own - legal - game code - the BDtS codes are already on this site.  If you diddn't register the game or have lost the code, I don't know if it is retrievable outside the game - generally, though if you open the ME1 config utility, you can see all your codes.

Impossible to register. They are telling me I did use the code before. I just re-bought ME through Steam and can't re-install BDtS now. What a pain in the...

Finally managed to re-install thanks to the universal serial code. Funny, I wasn't even trying to find it, I was just looking for info on BDtS on the ME wikia. Now I can finally do my planned trilogy run-through.

Had to manually create the Mass Effect folder/ key in regedit.  What the hell.

Code posted in masseffect wiki (which is the same as the one posted by Astera few pages ago) is not working. Any ideas? Will try to contact EA support, though I find it difficult to actually find any usefull e-mail or something, because of that stupid EA Help Center.

I have got the response after about 1 hour (first letter with discount promocode for EA store and second with BDtS code).

Does anyone know if ME1 still needs to be registered first before getting a BDtS code and using it?

I think it used to be that way but now since Origin took over I'm wondering if that's still the case. I ask because I just gifted ME1 to my sister through Steam and want to give her directions to get BDtS. I was looking where to register ME1 all around Origin and here and there doesn't seem to be any way to do it anymore? All the instructions for getting BDtS seem to be outdated now because of all this. Wondering if a new and Improved Sticky should be made or if the OP needs to be updated.

jk, you can't do it that way anymore. You need to contact live customer service (online) inorder to get the link and the code now. And yes, there does need to be a sticky as its otherwise almost impossible to find unless by accident, which was how I did it when I needed to get the serial code for BDtS about a 15 months ago.

I bought Mass Effect 1 during the sale, bought Pinnacle station also, but I wanted to receive BdtS, so contacted EA and received the code, but still, cant install this DLC it says "Connect to the internet". After this message, I also received "installation failed". What should I do ?

If you don't already have one, you will need to contact EA Support to get a CD key for Bring Down the Sky.  The previous way to get a CD Key relied on the old Bioware forums which have been taken down.

Ok, I solved my problem. Guys, if you have issue with using CD Key posted at Mass Effect wiki, then click at this link: help.ea.com/connect-with-us, use your login and then provide some informations and ask for another CD key. Last time I spoke with support, I suggested to increase number of possible activation at old CD key (public one at Mass Effect wiki) by some percantage, but don't know if it will take any effect (I've been told that my suggestion was delivered to proper places - there may or may not be any reaction). Just ask for alternative CD key for BDtS DLC, advisor should get you one. I also received 15% discount coupon for Origin store :-)

Check your firewall setting. If possible, turn whole firewall off.
