There were two DLC's for mass effect 1. Pinicale Station and Bringing Down the Sky. I found BDTS but the other one is missing.

Pains me cause I bought both DLC's and now I cant get one of them.

I went to install this DLC on my Steam copy of Mass Effect on my laptop, and it never asked me for a code. It said that the code entering process (or whatever they call it) was not responding and had to be closed. It proceeded to install anyway, and I went into the game, and it shows up in the DLC list as successfully installed. I haven't started a game yet on that computer, but I will soon to test. I wanted to know if the code thing not working is a problem that can break the game, and how to fix it. I was using Windows 7 64-bit, in case it matters.

EDIT: It said that the Unified regristration code installer has stopped working. The DLC still shows up in the game as installed, though, and it looks like all the files are there.

EDIT 2: Well, I tested it, and it worked perfectly. It never asked for the code, but it installed fine, and I was able to play it.

I contacted EA Customer Support via Email and had an answer after 30 minutes. That`s a damn fast support, thanks EA (still don`t like your business policy).
The code they gave me didn`t work, said the activation limit was expired.
Luckily the 3FLL code worked for me. Thanks to everyone in here.

Cool! You lucked out with the Unified Reg Code Installer failing. This could lead to a helpful workaround for others. I'm not sure if it's the same resource, but I've heard of Steam users bypassing the code entry part of the installer by killing it in task manager when you get to the code entry part, and letting it continue to install after that. Sounds like the same thing that happened to you (without you opening task manager). Might work for other versions (non-Steam) of the game too.

For all of you who still have trouble making this install work, try doing this:

1. Right click the downloaded DLC and run it as admin
2. When requested, type in/paste the whole key, like this: 3FLL43UUJTN8W8EX25J3 (and NOT this: 3FLL-43UU-JTN8-W8EX-25J3)

Not sure if anyone already posted this, but I've spent the whole day trying to figure out why doesn't my game install work. Normaly, I've double clicked the DLC and when asked placed the key in the 4 bracked areas and every time I got a "Install Cancelled" message.

So there ya have it, hope it helps.
