I have a CD key from steam for Mass Effect. I've also Downloaded Bringing Down the Sky. However when I enter my key it says it's incorrect. Is there anyway I can get this to work? Is there an issue with my Steam CD key?

o wrong guy sorry but for mass effect 2 btw it cannot be trusted well mass effect and mass effect 2 steam cannot be a good source for most bioware games

I love Bioware games. That being said, I've had nothing but problems in attempting to find a one stop. bug free source of information regarding support for the various games ( EA support website, Bioware social net website, dragon age website, Mass effect website, ect.. ). Just an example, it took 4 seperate back to back logins just to post this reply.



Love your work guys and really looking forward to SWTOR... Just dreading trying to figure out where I will need to login IOT receive support when needed...

I followed the steps in the OP but after a looong wait after I run the installer, I put in the BDTS CD key and it tells me the installation was cancelled.

please help. I just bought mass effect for my laptop. Its installed and i downloaded the patch. if i click on play at the start up menu it instantly shuts down. whats wrong? ps i have installed it in two dif laptops to ensure its not a laptop error. still doesnt work

edit the laptops are intel and amd turion.

I finally got the install to work but I had to do it in safe mode. More of a workaround than a fix but now it's installed.

Thanks a lot for this links, although I have both Mass Effect 1 and 2 for Xbox360, I recently got Mass Effect for the PC, and all the links on the launcher (patch, etc) don't work... I have to say BioWare shoulg give more attention to products that aren't even THAT old...

HUZZAH! I was trying to use the link that the BDtS installer gave me but the little s on the end of the http made it not want to work! Thank you for having this here, you've just saved my ME1 saves.

So now that I have this installed, what must I do in the game to trigger the event? I don't see anything about Batarians listed on my available assignments.

It should still have a key. Try looking in the Config utility under the Game tab.

Got ME1 key from receipt (sure glad I save receipts!). Went to Bioware Social Network, where I already have account. logged in, but when I went to Register my game, only ME2 shows up.

Thanks very much, saved me alot of time and effort, just bought mass effect 1 for the PC, having completed 2, and wanting to go threw the story again, i had both on the xbox 360 but sold it a while ago, missed the games, nice to be able to play addtional features on the pc

would be great if we could do all of this through steam even if we bought it in store, online, where ever. I bought mine off of EA's store (I had a coupon for 25% off for my b-day from EA) along w/ a few other things but no way to back the data up should I need to reinstall the game I have to redownload it. 8gb is quite a chunk to download when a simple game back up like steams allows you to burn to dvd or cd whatever your preference.

When I enter my ME1 key it says: * Error Code 102: Unable to verify CD Key as entered, please check key and try again.

I reentered it several times and still no luck. Any ideas?

PS: I bought the digital DL not a store bought hard disc
