I was also given a new CD key. People who already have a CD key (in your configuration utility) should probably write it down and put it in the CD case. The BtdS download is currently absurdly slow (a five hour download for me) but I bet there are torrents with the DLC.

I can no longer access the Serial Key for BDTS. I assume this is also happening for others?

Every link I use given here takes me to the old instructions on the legacy site or straight back to www.bioware.com. I've downloaded the DLC installer but can't register my copy of Mass Effect anywhere to get the CD key for BDtS...

Your only hope now is to contact EA support for registering the ME1 product code, as well as trying to gain access to BDtS.

I used the Live Chat on EA's site and very quickly was given a download link and a CD key. Very efficient. Thanks for the help Bogsnot

Well, I just got of the chat with a EA rep and he told me he couldn´t give me a key and that I simply had to wait ´til they had resolved this little inconvenience.

Does anyone have a link to a download that's faster than the official one in the OP? I looked at a torrent but it was designed to be for pirates only and I don't want or need that. Seriously, though, why is there a pirate version at all? This is free on PC.

If you contact EA support via live chat and tell them they'll up the activation limit on the profile. I had the same problem!

Yes, and it worked nicely , all i did was sent the cd key that was inside my PC game to them ,and they sent me the cd key for BdTs , the whole process took 20 seconds ,while ur registering your copy of the game.
About the key linked to your account well .. you can only get 1 key linked on your acount when you register your game,
or more than 1 key for Bdts when you register multiple copyes of the game.
Very glad to see ppl still play ME1 and im not the only maniac!

Irritated, 4 different reps have told me they don't give out the keys and don't have access. When I said others have gotten it, they said that that's not possible. Love being called a liar.

I have just wasted an entire bloody evening on he EA support site. I have a product key for BDtS but didn't write it down and obviously the old site, where it was stored, is now offline.

When I asked for a new product key, I was "escalated" and had to wait for over an hour for a level 2 advisor to become available. When I became first in the queue I was kicked and told no advisors available! A button appeared to request an email response, but clicking it takes me straight back to live chat. I am not willing to wait another 1 hour plus at the keyboard. This is really not acceptable.

i talked to ea chat and tried several keys and the DLC replied invalid key. Bioware should remove the need for a key since it is a free DL.

i'm waiting in response of my 2nd chat, the first chat gave me a new dlc key which wasn't working. the second time on the ea chat they gave me a brand new mass effect key but the problem is i have my mass effect from steam and that one is allready linked to a serial key which to my knowledge i can not change. I updated my question yesterday so i'm now waiting for a response.

I am happy to report that this issue has been RESOLVED for me!

I have the retail disc version of the game. I just installed a new hard drive and needed the bring down the sky and pinnacle station product keys to access my old saves. EA chat support got both to me in about 5 minutes. Now I'm gaming again! The BDtS download failed the first time I installed it (told me it needed to Validate something and then stopped with some error message about me needing an internet connection. But I re-entered the code and the 2nd time it worked straight away. For Pinnacle Station, they went back and accessed my the same product key from when I purchased it from the ea store a couple of years ago.

Hope someone finds this info helpful.

just got an e-mail from ea with a code that worked. But i did send an e-mail with my old me1 code that i found. I don't know if that helped or not. maybe they deleted DLC code on there side so that a fresh code could be used.

i have bought ME1 some time... but i was interested to try out the Bring down the sky dlc... i have downloaded in the link in this page but i can't use my serial code to make it work... what do i do to make the dlc work?

contact ea chat and tell them your problem with bring down the sky. If u have the orginal code for me1, maybe that will help if u had bring down the sky previously. My problem was i had both previously and my old version of the DLC was code was linked with me1, and i got an invalid code error.
