Contact EA support if you need to register ME1, and get the BDtS product key.

Didn't feel like chatting. Sent them an Email and they replied in a couple of hours with my cd key. Worked fine.

I had no idea that the legacy forums had been taken offline so I spent a few hours searching in vain for my key for Bring Down the Sky.

Got a new one from EA support in a matter of seconds after reading the OP. So if you'll excuse me, I've got a galaxy to save.

So hang on... Someone mentioned that after installing BDtS your key was "used up." I downloaded and successfully installed both DLC literally the day before this problem began. However, the above statement is a tad concerning. Does this mean that if I reinstall ME1 or reformat my PC that I will have to wade through this torrent of frustration that everyone is talking about? Or will I simply be able to use the same key again (which I have written down)?

I think Bioware needs to put those patches and Bring Down the sky here, to the new servers

I just went to EA support. There was a 2 minute wait for the online chat. I simply said "I need a key for Bringing Down the Sky" and within 30 seconds I had a key and links for the download. I installed it and entered the key while talking to the rep. VERY quick and painless process.

Just got done talking with a rep. Told her my problem, she gave me a code and works fine

Keep trying. Some reps are know-nothing muppets, others are helpful and will fix it up for you.
Sometimes, it pays to wait about 8 hours and try again, just to be sure the shift has changed and you get someone else.

Just downloaded BDtS and got a code from EA, but the B###ard wont activate. Any idea's?

I just tried this and got someone that asked me to apply for a new game code and directly me to a page on replacement codes. Not in any way associated with the DLC related question I asked. Will try again tomorrow

Urgh, my DLC blew up somehow (missing from my computer, I don't know how this happened?!) and I can't retrieve the code for it which should be found at (http://accounts.biow...mepc_cdkey.html) because it's redirecting me to the Mass Effect 3 page XD Is there any other way to get my original cd key back or do I have to pester EA support?

ETA: Evidently, I can't get into their customer support either. It keeps telling me to log in forever *facepalm*

ETA: Oddly enough, origins support works (buh?)

You can check the config utility, it might still be listed in there. Otherwise, contact EA, and hope you dont get a muppet.

Unfortunately, my ME copy is a steam copy and I was poking in the registry to see if I could find the cd key... which evidently has vanished too. Entry is still there, but no cd key. (buh?)


ETA: Currently stuck in support chat forever, lol. I already sent an email (which surprisingly worked, but had the canned reply of "will get an answer within 24 hours" XP)

ETA, part two: BAAAAH. Was told that I can't be helped because my copy is a steam copy and that my DLC cannot be located and ... doesn't seem to want to give me a new CD key. (Gonna try again with a different person.)

I was asked for my EA mail id and within a few mintues a new key was given.  The representative did not sign off until I validated the key.

Ugh. Still won't give me the DLC CD key and I even got hung up on the phone. >.<

EA Support doesn't like me, it seems. (I even specifically asked for the CD key only)  So this has been a wash. I really hope there's a way Bioware can get my original information back to me. :/ Really hate the jerks who forced the server down.

ETA: Tried again. Got a person who told me that they were really unable to get the codes at all and that I said this needs to be addressed by EA and Bioware ASAP.  (I find it amusing that I somewhat got three different answers) I'll just wait until this gets fixed.

Having an issue where I can't register ME1 and therefore can't get a key for BDtS...
was on the phone with EA for close to twenty minutes. They couldn't figure it out and said it was a problem with Bioware....WTF?! The support guy gave me a code for BDtS, it didn't work, and then one of his supervisors came on to tell me they couldn't do anything from their end. Bioware support, if you're reading this, HELP!! (There is no where to enter my ME1 product key...when that's resolved I'll be able to register BDtS.) Mine is also a Steam copy, BTW.

I needed my cd key for bring down the sky also..went to ea's live chat support thingy first time using it. they were very helpful got me a key and stayed there to make sure it worked for me. hope the rest of you guys have some luck getting your keys

Thats why you use Live Chat. You tend to get a response within 30 minutes, whereas email can be forgotten, or take days, or even weeks.
