Clearly you didn't read the thread then, and thanks for your total non-contributing post. If you had taken the time to read, you would realise there has been an ongoing conversation about the change of some characters personalities in RtO (namely Wynne). Maybe you would learn more if you didn't make such gross assumptions based on the OP alone?
Any who, this thread has encouraged me to check out the abominal Wynne thread, that woman is seriously starting to grate on my nerves (and not because of who she chooses to flirt with in RtO).

It's shocking how many of us don't find Wynne a sweet grandma after a few playthroughs. Even many Wynne-hating, Zevran-loving fangirls find the RtO conversations seriously jarring and out of character, though. I couldn't care less if Alistair and Wynne became a full fledged romance (more power to the writers if that happened), but the conversation itself -- weird and not like them.

Oh, perfect. Over in another thread or two, we're betraying our gender for not liking Anora. Here, we're insecure because we object to a pixelized old bat hitting on her proxy son in a macabre setting.Lughsan35 wrote...

I suppose we have penis envy if we criticize Loghain?

At least you have tons of excuses as it seems, Addai.
What about poor me, who doesn't like Wynne, but am male and too much like Alistair?
I probably envy women for having penis envy
(and it's always fun when people misspell the words they write in caps:innocent:)

I found it neither out of character, or disturbing. Wynne shows a sense of humor on sexual matters throughout the game and a particular enjoyment of teasing Alistair about things that make him blush.
As for the time and place, humor is a human response at the most unlikely times. It's how we keep going when things get bad. I also find it quite believable that Wynne would want to distract Alistair from thinking too much about being on the field where Duncan died once the fighting was over and he'd have time to dwell.
I remember you saying this in another thread before and like then I have to agree with you, that's how I look at it anyways. She was trying to ease the tension especially when/where this particular conversation does take place. The risen ogre. I believe it was right after killing the Ogre that had killed Cailan n finding Duncan's weapon's. That make's more sense because out of anywhere else in this particular dlc she make's that comment right there n then. At the beginning of RTO Wynne n Alistair are talking about returning n Alistair does make the comment about it being much deeper for him. I think Wynne's response after the Ogre fight was to distract Alistair, he had just killed the Ogre n I had just found Duncan's weapon's on his body. It just make's more sense that it happened right there than anywhere else.

Alright. Let's say you're at your father's funeral. Up walks the elderly woman who's been like a grandmother or mother to you, and says, "Aww, lighten up, my boy. Hey, we could always go in the back and I could show you my magical bosoms." Just to lighten the mood?! Are you kidding me? The kindest thing you'd be thinking was that she was drunk. Now, picture your girlfriend standing next to you at the time....

Lmao hey I'm not saying the dialogue was appropriate (because it wasn't), I was just saying why there then anywhere else in this particular dlc. Why there of all places? N that's the only thing I can really come up with that doesn't disturb me as much as um Wynne hitting on my man who's about to be king after this quest lmao.

I couldn't have said it better myself. The setting is completely inappropriate for such a conversation. I only watched the RtO play-through, and Alistair never goes that far in his conversations with her to warrant such a nasty "get back at him" behavior.
To lighten up a situation in that way is immature, inappropriate, and rather nasty. Where she a hormone ridden teenager, it might be forgivable, but not in any other way. This is Ostagar. Cailan died here, Duncan (likely) died here, thousands of soldiers died here, and most of the Ferelden Grey Wardens.
Yeah. Inappropriate sexual innuendo jokes to a flabbergasted Alistair are excusable for someone who tries to come off as the wise teacher. /sarcasm
My PCs don't romance Alistair (well, they all do until Zevran enters the picture), but he's a friend, and I can see them cringe collectively when hearing that. I don't care whether Wynne and Alistair start a hot love-affair, but after her prudery with the other characters, and her keeping on harping that he's like the 'son' she never saw again, it would seriously creep me out.

Can't say the banter bothered me at all. I thought it was funny actually, and not totally out of character for Wynne considering some of her convos with Oghren. Cougar Wynne rocks.

I think you're putting him on a weird pedestal there - Zev likes teasing and flirting with people; you don't think he'd gladly have you and Lel together? Remember the incident with the Pirate Lass. Zev teases and flirts with Leliana because he can and suspects she secretly loves it. (or, just as likely, doesn't mind the fact that it drives her nuts)

I don't know who said it here or somewhere else but it was stated that Zev was not really flirting with Lelianna because he was doing it to poking holes in her declaration of purity. Although, I have no doubt that he wouldn't want to throw himself in a women tangle, but that's only if your not in a monogomus relationship with him where you have been playing the doorknob at least. (You know where everyone gets a turn and thus giving him the go ahead) Still, with Lelieanna his dialogue is more of a teasing of Lelianna's faith because he being a man of great pleasure, cannot fathom going to long without sex.
As for Wynne, he uses the flirtation as way to deflect and dismiss her interrogation over his morals and standards. Which he succeeds. And furthermore, he himself isn't really interested in her because he mentions someone else he knows that likes older women and that she may like him as well.
He really has his eyes set on the Warden from the beginning.

Don't know about you, but I've never known elderly in their right minds to be so crass, and friends/family run interference to keep the batty ones well away from the bereaved. So the above scenario has about a snowball's chance in hell happening.

They gave Wynne a different writer in Return to Ostigar, who obviously didn't know the character. Simple as that.
Ok, color me confused. The writer for Wynne in Origins is Sheryl Chee, yes? When the DLC credits pop up in Return to Ostagar -- the Codex entry -- under the "Writer" section the name Sheryl Chee appears again. And now I read this.
Does the Lead Writer -- in this case Rob Bartel -- usually directs the content of the banters?
