I've found that the best way to grill a steak is to prepare some peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese, and to smother the steak while it's in the last few minutes of cooking. Also, never underestimate the effect of a good dry rub or marinade for quality steak. None of these things take a whole lot of time either.
I'll consider trying that. Except for the mushrooms. Not a fan of those. But the rest, I'll try. It's less elaborate than my mom's reciple, really.

I'm still learning to cook and haven't reached a point where my meals are what I'd call culinary masterpieces. Reading this thread, I feel like an ant among giants.
