We're talking about a company that took open source
software (WINE), added a bunch of proprietary bits to it,
charged users for their changes, and then didn't commit any
of those changes to the original project.  How much openness
did you really expect?  :P

WINE is released under an Open Source License that does not require releasing the proprietary bits in anything other than object code form; I checked to make sure my memory wasn't faulty because it's been a while since I've looked at the source for it. Obviously, Cider seems to be a pretty common choice for Mac Game ports, so Transgaming must be doing something right, even if we don't hear about their interactions with Bioware.

Cyberpawz you're insane. Dragon Age won't sell half as many to Mac as they will to PC. Why do you think no one makes games for Mac anymore? Because no one that owns a Mac buys games for it. Find 1 popular game that sold higher overall amongst Mac owners and I'll find 10 that sold higher amongst PC owners.

Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III, Starcraft II,  or how about Halo, or how about Doom, BioShock, Half-Life 2, I can go on if you wish?

Well, I own the Xbox360 version of DA & Awakening, but if Awakening comes to Mac, I'll buy the whole package for sure.

I'd have bought it already, if only Awakening would have been announced for Mac. But no.

I'm playing since many years on a Mac only, and finally in recent months gaming on Mac is exploding. I'm playing wow, Dragon Age Awakening, Day Of Defeat, Team Fortress 2, Amensia and many other games this month. Few years ago it was utopia. Pratically all my friends switched to Mac in 2 years and as far i know nobody use Boot camp right now but al native games.

Regarding market shares last research i've see write that 2/3 new highend or medium computer in US are macs, Pc are still dominating low end where apple only offer mac mini. I don't know if it is true but for sure mac growth is the fastest in computer shares and this is a fact.

Blizzard for example told times ago that the most popular notebook playing World of Warcraft was MacBook(+MacBook Pro).

Hmm... now should I spend £32 on the PS3 version of Awakening, or do I take the exact same amount and by the Mac version of Awakening with the Deluxe Digital Edition of Origins?
