WINE is released under an Open Source License that does not require releasing the proprietary bits in anything other than object code form; I checked to make sure my memory wasn't faulty because it's been a while since I've looked at the source for it. Obviously, Cider seems to be a pretty common choice for Mac Game ports, so Transgaming must be doing something right, even if we don't hear about their interactions with Bioware.
