There's a lot of that in ME2, where they played it way too safe, aka past characters act the same whether you romanced them or not; Characters act the same whether you're a male or female, beside who wants to **** you; Characters do the same thing whether you treated them good or bad; Character don't really care about your history, etc. It's kind of sad when you think about it.

Yup.  Part of why I'm going to be waiting for the reviews for ME3 and not buying it on pre-order.

I agree that they missed chances here and there. I'm going to own ME3 the day it comes out. Me2 is my favorite game of all time.

The first meeting with TIM(in my first play through) pissed me off ssssooooooo much! I had waited since before ME2 was relased to .......MAKE......TIM answer for Akuze(and Toombs), and no BS answer will cut it. I was really looking forward to the confrontation, But............I was shocked when my "Sole Survivor Shepard" did not say a d*mn f***ing thing about it.

My Shepard was quite pissed about it. He never defended Cerberus, even when it was a Renegade option (I play Paragon). He took every chance he could to weaken Cerberus. He sent their secrets to the Alliance, he shut down project Overlord, and the biggest middle finger was when he blew up the collector base. He also took every chance he had to make clear to TIM that he doesn't like him. Hell, if it turns out that in ME3, the Alliance gets an unshacked EDI, with all of Cerberus's secrets and some of their best technology, in addition to one of, if not two of their best operatives, I'd say that, in addition to the mission chain in ME1 will be a decent start to the revenge.

Suddenly that conversation with Jacob, when he says "Don't worry, we'll give Cerberus a show" sounds a lot more ominous.
