Totally boring and a waste of time.

There are so many mini-game and other creative opportunities in this game which were lost. 
But at least for the Cerberus system panel you can do something even now!
if not including a mini game make it like a mini browser... 

or at least make it slightly more interactive, add categories, perhaps links to specific threads..
update the news more often, give some hints about certain items or even include news relative to our last outing before we exit the game... hints about certain elements to mine and where.. 

come on guys.. this was a waste of coding and screen space.

i noticed the first fresh news today about a film star. but that's pretty much it.

There could be a list of dropped quests and ideas going on in that panel. and keep renewing automatically.

I get updates on 'Galatic News' every day. Turn on ME2 in the morning and walah new news.

Double Post:

Might as well make use of it. They could add other stuff to the screen such as, said above, hints and tips. Also upcoming news on the game not just lore. So upcoming dates of patches and DLC.

i agree, that would be great and give more depth to a seemingly simple feature and in that way raising even more the quality bar.
