come on OP! Liara simply realised how much more interesting the world of intrigue is than her life's work. how is that hard to understand?

Eh - yeah, this was weird. Specifically, the Protheans = Collectors thing, and being unable to even mention it to Liara. I mean, in ME1, Shep just assumes "Ms. Prothean Expert" is going to know something about the conduit when they go to Artemus Tau. And she completely doesn't. Until, at the end of the game, she pulls Ilos out of her hat. So ... Shep doesn't at least run it by her, if Shep happens to be on Illium after that discovery ... just in case?



I actually AM in agreement with those who have said she probably wouldn't know anything useful, but it really did strike me as weird, like the writers actually forgot that her background is "Prothean Archaeologist". Sure, sure - terrible vengeance to wreak and all that, but this was a piece of dialogue I was so certain would have to be in the game, I did go back to Illium to see what Liara had to say about it.



Apparently, Liara has developed some kind of vocal tick that makes everything she's thinking come out as "Must. Kill. Shadow. Broker."



Odd, that.

Yeah, those comic books but have some super tragically devastating life altering for the worse this should probably be on the Lifetime movie network back stories in it.

LOL! Liara was not the "foremost" mind. You looked for her because she was Benezia's daughter who happened to be a prothean expert. Not the other way around.
