Thankfully, no. Only a cameo. And thankfully I am spared of that cameo since he is dead.

You'll see him if he's alive and hasn't left Ferelden in your play-through of Origins.

Speaking of pricey voice actors, I think Arl Howe should be back as an eternal nemesis for the Human Noble.

I think they need a more satisfying cutscene when you kill him.

I mean Howe. I hate killing Alistair! I almost cried. I also almost cried the first time I killed Loghain, however. I guess I'm just a freak.

I take it you do not like their decision. It could be worse, he could not of shown up at all.

That's refreshing. I am disturbed by how much people enjoy killing a father right in front of his daughter. And then they say I am ruthless.

I know it's very sad. I didn't have too hard of time when I had Alistair play as champion, cause Anora doesn't say anything.

Also Alistair's voice actor is probably one of the more expensive cast members.

But he's doing it for the cameos, and I believe I heard he's also voicing another of the main characters. I doubt that's the reason.

Well whatever the reason, I just hope they tie it into how you ended Origins. Thats all I ask.

I know he's doing a cameo for Alistair... I hadn't heard about him playing another character. It's not Anders is it? Sheesh.

Oghren and Morrigan are the only characters you can't kill. Morrigan leaves. Oghren is the only possible person you can use as a party member in Awakening.

What?

In all the cutscenes we have seen so far, he's the King in them, so if you put him as King, he will return, and most likely have a line or two talking about what happened between the two of you in the past.

If he stayed with you, he is most likely at Amarinthene or whatever acting as your second in command/trainer, but will be unable to go with you on your quest because someone has to hold down the fort, read the cameo bit, Alistar, Loghain and Wynne are confirmed as cameos, now, Loghain only has one role he can be doing in Awakening, and thats leading the Gray Warden forces, obviously if he's dead, Alistar takes that spot, and guess who would be in charge if both of them happened to not make it through Origins, well most likely Wynne.

Some people have said you can kill Oghren in the Deep Roads while facing Branka. But Iam not entirely sure how.
So I think Oghren is killable as well.

My strategy guide says he is killable. Have never done it myself. However my strategy guide also says you can ask Alistair to marry you prior to the landsmeet, and I have yet to figure out how. It lies.

To kill Oghren, you have to do everything in your power to make him hate you. It's near impossible.

If Alistair isn't dead/king/drunk, then what makes him stay in Ferelden? He's not even mentioned in the epilogue if the PC lives and he's not king.

I don't think so. Believe me I've tried to get him killed. It's sadly impossible. :crying:

The darkspawn. As a Grey Warden, it's his job to fight them.

I'm pretty sure if you don't kill, king or run him off, Alistair defaults to returning to the Wardens. My boyfriend never makes him king and, after every coronation, Alistair will say he's staying with the Wardens.

This is what I mean about awakening not being true to the original.

Ah; simpler than I thought. I didn't make him king, kill him, or harden him, and took Morrigan's offer, so he basically said, "We'll stay friends; talk to you after the ceremony."
