God I just want my epilogue to really matter in the end, so far it seems awakening is taking away my relationships in DAO

Only some of it will be involved with this expansion, but who you made ruler will matter, I think, and they've said that how you dealt with the archdemon will matter.

I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed for something better than the stupid dwarf in further expansions. Allister would have been nice, but it also would have complicated things and likely meant I would have had to wait for much longer to play further...



So I'm not going to pout. Much.

 Lets see, 50 for the game and all of the download content, then 40 for this expansion. Quite a bit! If this game is just 20 hours of killing darkspawn and nothing else, it isn't worth the money for me. Of course this is my just my opinion. Everyone else can form their own, and I won't critisize them for it.

Here here! I always had him with me because he was such a good tank. Him and Wynne were permanent staples in my group until Wynne started to get on my nerves.

Add Leliana to that group (for lockpicking and trap clearing pouposes), and then you have my group for about 90% of my game.

This is my first Bioware game. I have played all six origin characters. I have three of the possible endings, but for the life of me, I can't bring myself to kill Alistair. Even with my "evil" character I kept Loghain and had Alistair sent away. I never knew it was possible to become so attached to a video game character. I was so hoping for a true reunion in Awakening.

its unfortunate that we wont get to have our romance continue in awakening but hopefully the devs have read some of the posts and may take it into account that the romances are very popular and may bring them back in another expansion or dao 2 fingers crossed but if not then maybe they might give us at least some decent hair or armour as the female armour is horrid i want my woman to look pretty at least

No, your dog isn’t dead. Your faithful hound is still out there. He’s just not on this adventure. We wanted to introduce new characters in Awakening and although Dog doesn’t speak – the loveable mutt still needs a lot of cinematic attention to bring to life. So we spent our time on new characters that are more tightly integrated into the story

I will miss my puppy  but I understand. sigh

Ya what the person above me said.

Think about it. Dog is tough to bring to life, being he can't really talk. He relay's on allot of interaction within the party to come to life. While at first you think, "pfffhhh, he's just a dog, how hard can he be to implant?" That is not true.

Plus what about the skills? I mean... they would need to come up with enough new unique skills (how much can a dog really do in battle?) For the new level cap.

I killed Alistair once and couldn't bring myself to keep the ending. Mostly because he was in a relationship with my girl and his final decision to do so was to save her. I felt so bad about that. So, there I went, reloading and accepting Morrigan's ritual - which made me sick to my stomach to watch her with him. Blech.

:OTHAT is exactly what I did, and felt.  I am so glad that I'm not the only one!!!!

As long as Alistair acknowledges that my PC is still his love and he wants me to return home soon to warm his bed back up (he's not king, I just couldn't force him into it as he didn't want it!) then I'll be happy - as long as in future XP's they make him my partner and 'romance-able' again!  

Oh, and I want a nice seen at the end of Awakenings of my PC returning home and him giving her a good welcoming snog!  Teeheehee!
 

However, my husband was quite happy to hear that Alistair won't be romancing me, I mean my PC again.  Every time I'd kiss him it would be  'Oh not again!'
