This isn't a plothole. I had Miranda/Garrus with me, and Miranda said "They could take every human in the Attican Traverse and NOT FILL ALL THESE PODS." (Caps for emphasis) To which Garrus responded: "They're going to target Earth."
This is a perfectly logical assumption. What human world has the LARGEST population density in the current Mass Effect timeline, where the Collectors could fill ALL those pods? Earth.
"The Collectors are coming after Earth!"

How did they screw up the Battle of the Citadel cutscenes? I've heard this before, but nobody ever pointed out the actual inconsistencies to me.
The only one I've heard about is that all those white Alliance vessels were intended to be dreadnoughts, but the Alliance was only supposed to have six dreadnoughts, and there were clearly more than six of those vessels, so they got retconned into cruisers instead.

The dreadnought thing was one, then there's the fact that the council says that they've stationed a fleet at the Citadel's relay for security purposes, but when the Geth+ Reapers show, all the ships are right near the citadel, very very far away from the relay.
Then once the actual combat starts, the cruiers start firing their extremely slow moving missiles from long range, and the missiles fly out of the main gun on them. The missiles have a diameter far exceeding what the main guns are supposed to have, especially on a cruiser of all things. The missiles are supposed to be mounted on racks, and only supposed to be fired when they're at near point blank range.
All of the combat takes place at extremely close ranges, and all of the ships end up just closing and firing, instead of keeping their distance and slugging it out, like the codex says they're supposed to be doing.
