What does the Death Mask do? It gives a 10% negation bonus, is that like a virtual +10% to paragon and renegade points?

Yes. Like everything else it should be calculated against the base amount, not after your class skill benefit.

yes, watch out though as it isn't worn on ship, or in samaras loyalty, so can't be used for alot of the most difficult checks.

Oh sad. What the heck is it for then? Zaeed's loyalty quest if you choose to not chase Vido?

I use it every time on Tali's loyalty mission, have to wear a helmet anyways so might as well as use the 10% negotiation bonus on the trial.

Yeah, there aren't nearly enough tough negotiation checks on missions. It was a good thought, but the execution just isn't there.

It looks kinda neat though. Very unique.

Coolest looking headgear in the game imo - looks protective and high-tech - also like the absence of a transparent visor. Negotiation bonus doesn't seem to fit its appearance though, which is a shame (would have thought a shield bonus more appropriate really).

Makes Inferno Armor a bit redundant.

I really don't use the game's armor for stats. I just think of it all as aesthetic.

This. The game is easy enough even on insanity that I just wear whatever looks best.

Apparently, in the future, looking like a faceless genderless fascist robot gives you power of persuasion.

All the DLC armors are redundant. Who uses those, anyway?

Yeah... that helmet makes you look a bit like a bipedal space bug... My thought originally was that wearing it or the inferno armor, the 10% negotiation bonus meant a discount at merchants/stores.

Actually if you play thru and Either pick the Quarian or no love interest at all - the 'natural' pairings are there to see -

Jack & Garrus - When Jack Objects to Miranda as the leader, camera shot shows garrus nodding

mIRANDA AND Jacob are in shoulder nudging accord

Samara isnt an option

Which leaves you Talia hence the Death mask(see, it does relate to this posting :)) which would naturally make you more attractive to a quarian who wear masks all the time.

If I could bear the appearance, I'd wear it when high par/ren are required-I mainly just go for aesthetic appearance. Luckily, most of my favourites have decent (if not the best) armor stats anyway,

Agreed. As cool as it looks, is it likely someone will be likely to believe a guy who's dressed up like a Kull Warrior from SG-1?

For me, the Death Mask is too ugly.  Like someone said earlier, it was a great idea, but kind of poorly executed.  It would've been nice if they made a few items you could purchase/find that you wore while on the ship, though.  Like a bracelet, necklace, or some such nonsense.

Do you mean romantic pairings??

Jack and Garrus is an interesting idea, but I think he's agreeing with Jack because he doesn't trust Cerberus more so then he finds Jack attractive.

And Jacob makes it clear that Miranda is too good for him and, let's face it, Miranda knows that, too.

It looks like a Krogan Helm. Very cool, not very useful though.
