Good news, DA:A has been in development for a year

The interview over on this thread confirmed that they have been working on this expansion for almost a year at this point.
Many, including myself, were worried that the devs were being rushed as EA whipped their backs to release an expansion asap... most expansions come out around a year after release and with DA:A coming out far earlier then a year after DA:O's release, no wonder we were worried.
However, as many thought, thanks to the whole console, PC, delay issue... they must have been developing DA:A far before the release of DA:O which means that awakening was no more rushed then the average expansion.
Don't know about you, but for some reason, this comes as a big relief to me.

As long as it isn't "Horse armor" then I'm thrilled.
No, it's mabari armor. The nugs get cute little hats too! All for the low, low price of 49.99!!

Would be double disappointment in this game as we don't even have horses
(though I always wondered if people actually bought "Horse armor". I read about it and thought: what a rip-off!)

It would be a cruel, cruel joke to add mabari armor and not have Dog in the game.

The BioDevs decided not to write romances because they didn't want to have romances in Awakening. I wouldn't be surprised if after Origins they were romanced out.Solostran85 wrote...
Hmm sounds like they've had enough time to of added some romances.
And there's no reason to drop that worry, folks. The worry must flow!Wishpig wrote...

Yeah, I think not putting romances in the game was a concious decision, rather than not having enough time to implement it.

Ya, romance in bioware games are fun and all, but theres just so much more to the games then an extremely watered down dating sim.Kryyptehk wrote...

I think the conciously decided to put their time and effort into other aspects of the story.

That's good news. The probability of me buying the game is so high, that if on my way to the store I see a bunch of kids get run over by a bulldozer, I would be unfazed and still on my way to the store.
harvest their organs, sell them, then purchase the game for free.

Hmmm, why haven't I thought of that?
Thanks for the idea. I will be sure to send you a few organs.

Well I figure since they were run over by a bulldozer the shovel part must be up... if that is the case the children would need to be totally aligned with the treads to be completley ruined. I'm thinking at least one kid lost only a limb and bled to death, leaving everything else unharmed.
